No, I think that when Jeremie said he was "recreating Lyoko", he recreated Lyoko, and if you look closely at the"Holosphere System", as Jeremie calls the big holographic map, he has also recreated the Mountain and Ice sectors.

Dear Martel, please no. Yumi cannot sing. Did you hear her in that episode that I forgot the name of? Ugh. And back on topic, I never knew anything about the SubSonics in a Code: Lyoko episode. I must be out of the loop...

XD That was actually meant in jest (the suggestion of Yumi trying out).

Incidentally, the episode she sang in was "Seeing Is Believing". Ah, the days of the Pop Rock Progressives. *snerk*

*snickers* Although I'd sooner hear Yumi sing than Sissi...unfortunately, I'm willing to bet Sissi won't be able to resist trying out. (Not that Ms. Forrest doesn't have a lovely voice...but I don't want to hear Sissi sing XD; )

And for that matter, neither will Odd. :*D

Oh joy. *giggles*

Anyway, as for the SubSonics being in an episode...that was mentioned way back in some News post at LyokoCode about the SubSonics. I'll see if I can find it later. *nods*

Maybe the whole SubSonics stuff was all just a rumor.

I wonder if Ms. Hertz or Jim is gonna try out... :D

In "Double Take" Jeremy mentioned that he was recreating Lyoko. Therefore, when the gang arrived into the virtual world in their new outfits, they arrived at the Desert Replika (island) which Jeremy created. Though Jeremy has yet to create the other Replikas (islands) of the sectors (Ice, Mountain, and Forest) in order to fully restore Lyoko as these Replikas are obviously used in restoring Lyoko. But as for these other supercomputers controlled by Xana which control the Replikas, do these other supercomputers already exist or have they yet to be created?

why are you saying replika? Isn't it replica?

No, the new islands are spelled "Replika."

Hopefully with a new terrain or two. Being stuck with Ice, Desert, Forest Mountain and possibly Red Carthage Replika's will get old REALLY fast.

Oooh I promise you will not get tired of the 'Red Area' - Herman in my phonecalls kept referring to sequences he'd seen set there when writing the score - I believe his descriptions involved a lot of expletives and words like 'amazing', 'awesome', 'incredible' and the like.

I'd say that Skidbladnir will be the episode that we'll be seeing the red sector. Heck, I think Skidbladnir will be the name of the red sector. :S

I think the title might be referring to the ship they ride around in though. Since I believe, according to the link Wartonchan posted, Skidbladnir was a mythological and magical ship. ^^

Perhaps. Kind of like the Marabounta situation. Akward names for a CL episode.

Real question: who constructed the ship? Maybe Jeremie created it, just like he created the Marabounta.

Yes, I can say that this has been confirmed(By the Cartoon Network servers, if you can trust them)...

Skidbladnir.

(Sighs with relief) - finally I can talk about this - when we were at Moonscoop last August Jerome showed TL, Osiris and myself the office where they keep all the storyboards - there are two folders per episode, one for 2D, and the other for 3D - we got to flick through both folders for for 'The Key', which was a priviledge :)

However, lying around on the desk were several other folders, and I noticed two with S4 production numbers, one of which was marked 'Skidbladnir' (though at the time I thought it said 'Skidblader' and assumed the title had something to do with rollerblading) - seems that after many months I finally get to see what was under that cover :)

So yes, I can confirm this episode does exist, and that CN got the name right. It also gives you food for thought to consider that this episode was written and storyboard over ten months prior to it's airing - makes you realise how long it takes to produce a season of CL.

Oooooo...Carthy learned a big word today. Skidbla...Skid...skid...I can't wait to see all the ways people are going to mispell it. XD Either way, it wins for best episode title. Ever.

I'm willing to bet it refers to the ship thingies they ride around the red sector in. It makes sense.

EDIT- This has nothing to do with the conversation, but I found this while browsing the gallery for Final Round- http://codelyoko.fr/images/galeries/der ... nd_114.jpg Recognize that guy in the lower right corner?

Hey! It's Totoro!

Though it has been confirmed that the creators of CL are Miyazaki fans. I think I heard somewhere that Principal Delmas is based (appearance-wise) on Miyazaki himself.

Also, in the first episode, Yumi did have a stuffed Totoro on her bed, but it was changed into some purple thing later.

Here's something I'd like to toss in.

Project Carthage - long assumed to be a solely French program - and yet a new discovery I made online may through a new light on the subject.

Here is the logo we associate with Carthage, as seen in the end credits

Here is the logo of the defence network responsible for the lazer-based Satelite Weapon that XANA once took control of, incorporating the French flag

Now, please compare those two, with this

Kinda makes you wonder huh?

Factor in this other consideration as well - Franz said Project Carthage was directed against an actual 'enemy' - well in the 1970s/80s, who is the most likely 'enemy' - the Soviet Union.

And what was one of the most desired weapons in a nuclear-war? A Star Wars satellite defence network, exactly what we see in the show.

What if Carthage is actually an international group, a sort of think-tank of NATO members headed up by the US, and the badge we see in 'Satellite' is actually that of the French component of Carthage, and the purple one a sort of 'master' unit, or black-ops or intelligence division.

Thoughts?

Mystic Force Purple Ranger (helmet thereof)? :nyeh!:

More seriously, Just saw the Doctor Who story "Robot" today. That involved a think-tank. Things didn't go well...

Hehe - I'm just looking for further info or clues.

The Carthage logo (both versions), has 62 stars around the outside - I think this is an intentional number as there are two gaps in the logo splitting it up into two groups of 31 stars. I'm just wondering if there is any meaning to this.

EDIT:

Okay, this might be pushing the boat out a bit, but although it seems 62 may have no meaning, the use of two arcs of 31 stars may be a reference to Star Trek:

Section 31

31 is also a Prime Number and seems to have a lot of relevance in mathematics.

Wow, that's an interesting point. Although I have to bring some things up.

One, the logo of the United States Air Force was different when the symbol for Project Carthage was created, presumably in the 70's.

Also, the similarities in the logo could be because of time and/or budget constraints. Perhaps they didn't have time to make a new logo for Project Carthage, because it would only be seen on screen for a short time, so they used the logo from Satellite.

Of course, I find your theory intriguing. But I think you have it mixed up. The Satellite organization isn't part of Project Carthage, it's the other way around. Project Carthage is part of the French national security organization. Think- Red+Blue+White of French flag = Purple.

I know the logo is probably just based on the USAF - I'm just wondering whether there's a reason for it - from my experience Moonscoop usually put a bit of thought into this stuff - I also know that it was Jerome (the director) and Sophie (script director) who personally devised all the backstory, and these are a pair of sharp people (shrugs) - maybe there's something to it, maybe there isn't.

Maybe - again, until we know something definitive, everything is up for grabs - heck we don't even know if Carthage exists anymore - did Franz suceed in destroying it? Did he fail? I wonder sometimes if the unnamed weapon developers XANA framed Jeremie for hacking in 'False Lead' may have something to do with it.
