Season three.
Yuck.
I had spent a better part of a year dreaming up what awesome episodes would be in season three, but they all turned out to be un-exciting fillers, and I just didn't like them. I also hated William's involvement with the group. It was really cliche. I dunno. I guess it was just a rotten season. D=

Hmm, Season 3 is winning, but Season 1 is right behind. I'd have to say Season 1.

Season 1 just didn't have much action. When it was still out, I wasn't liking the series much, either. I found it a bit interesting, but that was about it. Actually, I didn't get fully into the series until Code: Earth. That's when I started liking it.

After Code: Earth, everything just got better. Season 3 dropped that down a bit, being mostly filler, but it still made up for it with the main plot-based episodes in the season. William's sudden possession surprised me greatly, though I had been thinking before that it'd be interesting to have him end up in a villainous role (I was actually contemplating over William being a sub-program created by XANA and sent to Earth to try and get at the gang).

I don't know what the future holds for the series, but it's certainly looking pretty sweet. I just hope that Season 4 doesn't turn into a repetitive season with the gang doing the exact same thing every single episode.

It's 2nd season so far but season 4 will blow it out of the water .But as the first season was the warm up that the founation of Code lyoko with the relationship between Y/U and A/J Foucsed. then season 2 with aelia anti virus and xana becoming moree stonger and of coruse the vehinces.(I got to get a overbike ).then the 3rd season which is the most dissportting od the series no bite to it or part where your on the egde of your sits .Overall 1 2 and soon to be 4 are going to be fav But Cl has changed to much so I can't really put my finger on it.

I bump this thread for the following reasons:

1) Opening Act (3rd episode from Season 4) alone beats the living s**t out of Season 3 in its entirety. None of the S3 episode matches can match this episode. I'm serious about this. This statement is coming from a guy who doesn't like hyperness and has barely been in such state.

2) Re-watching S3, none of the episodes are really masterpeices, and as far as I'm concerned, Tidal Wave, Xana Awakens Part 1, Double Trouble and Final Round pretty much sucked, with FR being the most appaling Season finale comapred to The Key and False Start. Now, I have expectations that Season 4 won't bomb and may have potential to be as good as Season 2.

3) I'd like to hear more opinions about which of the first 3 seasons was the worst.

I guess season 1 was the most boring because Xana wasnt as strong, they didnt discover sector 5 and took the whole season just to find a program to devirtualize Aelita. And some people said season 3 sucked, it wasnt bad but more was expected. All I can say I guess is I hope season 4 rocks!

New to this forum, though not to Code Lyoko. But in any case, I'm having a difficult time deciding which season was the "worst". Season one was the beginning as well as mostly filler (not that fillers are bad unless you get dozens of them in a row), season two was also largely filler (at least in my opinion, though it did have a lot more plot elements than the first season), and it way overdid the whole "possession" mechanic, and season three had yet more fillers and didn't seem as lively as the other two were (didn't even notice the fact that it was supposed to be more "action-oriented", which tells you something).

Personally, I think they were all good, and I can't really rate any one as the "worst" overall. They all had their good and bad points. However, just from the few episodes of season four I've seen, I'd say it's shaping up to be the best overall.

Thanks for the welcome. I actually don't tend to introduce myself when I encounter a new forum, instead preferring to just hop right in and start posting. Besides, I suck at introductions anyway (never know what to put in them) and I have a tendency to forget about said introduction thread anyway. I'll keep it in mind, though.

Season 1. Long, repetitive, poor CGI, no storyline development, the works. At least season three had some new plot material, and season two had better CGI.

I didn't care much for the third season. I admit that there were some really good episodes, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it, but the magic that had been the first and second seasons was almost completely absent from it. Besides, near the end of the season, some of the characters' personalities started getting really vague. I was very happy to see a return to the old ways with the latest episode to air.

Based on a few S4 episodes (and the one in Hebrew)it isn't the worst, it isn't bad...it's really any after taste of spear-mint gum, ^^;

I'm just getting a semi-bad feeling about S4. Like something is missing really, I can't explain it.
