garage kids was the first version of code lyoko execpt in garage kids animales are allowed since odd brought a animal on the bus umi can use her telekanises power in the real world ulrich has super sprint in real world and umi jeremy and ulrich found lyoko odd had no clue what so ever there is no definate xana no aelita, the real world is also in danger since in the very very first episode the ghost figures are able to damage the lreal world just from XANADU like when the ghost ran into a tower and caused a minor earth quake odd ulrich and umi were never saw in XANADU and of course niether was jeremy.there was only 26 episodes of garage kids and each only about 5 minutes long odd goes to lyoko but you never see him or umi that also went to XANADU.

lyoko
lyoko is similar to garag kids with few difrences like in garage kids ulrich is wearing a old chinese era armour around his waist and in garage kids ulrich is wearing a red head band and in lyoko he is wearing yellow and in garage kids there are stairs to the computer jeremy does'nt say transfer scanner virtualization XANADU looks alittle diffrent they all have more of a french accent and have a noticable change in both voice and look.

AT the beginning Garage Kids begins on a stormy night in the city. A computer in a random room (it looks like a dorm room at Kadic) lights up with a strange symbol (a silhouette of Xanadu) and dark, ghost-like shapes begin to pour from the screen.
The next day, a bus arrives at Kadic. It drops off a student and his dog. They're named Odd and Kiwi, respectively. Odd is greeted by Jeremie, who also introduces him to his friend, Ulrich. Jeremie makes a comment about Kiwi, saying something about him looking "really dumb." Odd claims Kiwi is very sensitive and can get mean, and pushes the dog into Jeremie's face. Jeremie believes him at first, but Odd quickly reveals the act to be a joke (showing off his goofball smile). Ulrich just shakes his head in disbelief.
In the courtyard, Odd asks if any "cool chicks" can be found at Kadic. Jeremie points him to Yumi, who is practicing Pencak Silat with Ulrich. Jeremie makes sure to point out that getting on her bad side is not a good idea. As the two practice, Yumi eventually falls on top of Ulrich, with her legs wrapped around his. After a short stint of heavy breathing, Yumi blushes.
Later on, on the roof of Kadic, Yumi is telling Jeremie to hurry before they are late for class. For some unfathomable reason, Jeremie is sitting on the railing. He's messing with his laptop, claiming something to be weird. All of a sudden, the symbol seen on the computer in the first scene appears on his laptop and the same ghosts burst from the screen and escape into the sky. This causes Jeremie to lose his balance and fall. Luckily, Yumi is able to catch him before he hits the ground. She doesn't catch him physically, but rather through telekinesis. Odd is understandably surprised as she floats Jeremie back up. She then asks the now-trembling and rather scared Odd, "Odd, can you keep a secret?"
They take Odd (followed by Kiwi) to an old factory. Within is a giant laboratory, complete with a computer, three scanners, and a couch for some reason. Ulrich heads for the scanners while Jeremie and Yumi head for the computer. Odd just stands there, in awe of his surroundings. Jeremie quickly sends Ulrich to a virtual world, known as Xanadu. Odd wonders what is happening, so Yumi gives a quick explanation about Xanadu. They don't know why it exists, but that they do know something is wrong with it.
In Xanadu, Ulrich walks around aimlessly for a bit before giant black ghosts begin to chase him. As the chase takes place, Odd asks why they go if it's so dangerous. Yumi explains that their world is in danger as well. Back in Xanadu, a ghost tries to crash into Ulrich. He dodges and the ghost crashes into a pillar, instead. A subsequent earthquake in the real world helps to accentuate Yumi's earlier point.
Eventually, Jeremie informs Ulrich that his saber is charged. Ulrich then draws a blue saber made out of binary code. He quickly cuts one of the ghosts into several pieces. The other ghosts retreat, with Ulrich in hot pursuit. He chases them up a large mountain, eventually stopping at an over-sized tower. A few dozen ghosts are circling it. They break off and begin to pursuehim.
Back in the lab, Jeremie tells Ulrich to come back, since it's getting too dangerous. Yumi disagrees, saying they can't go back later, and has Odd come with her to Xanadu instead. They appear on top of one of the over-sized tower, but are not actually seen. The camera backs up to show the whole of Xanadu, which looks exactly the same as the symbol seen on Jeremie's laptop. Towers of varying sizes can be seen scattered about its landscape. The Garage Kids logo appears on the screen once it fully backs away. Odd then comes out of the scanner, exhausted from the experience.
Now the credits start to play, showing various still images of the group. Among these are the four sitting on a bench while Jeremie works on his laptop, Jeremie and Odd trying to push an embarrassed Ulrich and Yumi together, a scene with Jeremie working and Odd sleeping while Ulrich and Yumi have a pillow fight, and, finally, another scene with the four sitting on a bench.

Franz Hopper was a science teacher at Kadic Junior High School about ten or so years before the show starts (based on school records and other dates given). He is the one responsible for creating the supercomputer that controls the virtual world of Lyoko, as well as Xana. Jeremie Belpois has a copy of his diaries, copied from a series of CDs that were destroyed by Xana. In the episode "Revelation", his diary was fully decoded.
Franz Hopper is a genius beyond his time, as implied by Jeremie when referring to the information in his diary. The supercomputer and Xana are clearly more advanced than anything else on Earth, and Franz Hopper developed and built the two on his own. He also created technology that allows people to travel back in time, though he admits this to be an interesting side-effect of the supercomputer and not anything intentional.
Currently, Franz Hopper is trapped somewhere within Lyoko. He can reach out to the real world through the use of the towers, which glow white when he activates them. He doesn't have abilities equivalent to Xana, but can overcome Xana's control of a tower. He wishes to help the group in their struggle against Xana.
Discussion
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
The group first learns of Franz Hopper in the episode "Unchartered Territory". Jeremie discovered his name when digging into the history of the Hermitage (by hacking into a website which held the deed to the house). Further exploration of the house revealed an out-of-place book on the Punic Wars. It was this book that allowed Jeremie to discover the password to Carthage, SCIPIO, after much thought into the meaning of the message given by the sector. The sewer passage behind the house was discovered in the previous episode.
In the episode "Mister Pück", Aelita's visions become too disruptive to ignore. The group went to the Hermitage to discover their source. The visions eventually led Aelita to a picture on the wall. Behind the picture was a small space that contained a doll, which Aelita inexplicably knew to be named Mister Pück. A key to a train station locker was hidden on this doll. The locker contained Franz Hopper's diary, which was heavily encoded on a set of CDs.
In the episode "Franz Hopper", Xana activates five towers. When the group went to the factory, they discovered a man there deactivating the towers without going to Lyoko. When asked to identify himself, he simply said, "I'm Franz Hopper."
He then told the group that he'd created Aelita (meant to be Lyoko's protector), Lyoko, and Xana as a counter-military project. However, he lost control of Xana. When asked about his whereabouts up to this point, he just said that he'd been "away." He then said that he'd returned to help

Wrong section, and fix your format a bit; it's a major eye-strain.

Anyways, since this will be moved (and I assume my post will be carried over), I don't know; I don't remember Code: Lyoko's storyline that well anymore.

Okay first of all, I moved this to CL Discussion. Secondly, I'm locking it. Not only could this info elsewhere as well (like the CL wiki) but there's several other discussions going on here that go over the same stuff.

Locked.
