I hate it. I once got an account, then just couldnt stand it and deleted it. A so called 'friend' who I ranted about in some of my previous ranting posts kept on begging me and fo finally I gave in, and made another one. He kept on telling me to make a layout and all that. The thing is, I dont like myspace. I never really wanted an account there, its a site for 'friends' which is something I seriously lack. He threatened to create an account and say its me and start adding people from school, which I really dont want to happen! Ugh! I dont need this stress! Why cant he get it through his head that I dont give a s*** about myspace so he can leave me alone! T_T I am so afraid he might actually pose as me but I am not sure if he would. Maybe he was just joking, but you never know.

That's pretty bad, actually. I've never made a MySpace, personally, just doesn't seem like my thing. I don't know what advice to give you other than talk to him. It kind of sounds like he's bullying you into doing it, when you really don't want to.

Or, you know, you can give MySpace a try. I'd be doing it, but I'm homeschooled, and I have no friends from campus, so there's no one to add, lol. It sounds like if he can convince people from school that it's you, and he can add them, maybe you can make some new friends?

MySpace is really nice I heard, depending on who you hang out with. You might get a couple weirdos, but if you keep it private and just to your friends, you might meet new people.

I say, give it a try. If you really detest it that much, then just talk to him.

best thing to do is tell him that he shouldent threaten you with stuff like that, and if he does end up making a fake you, you make up fake things about him....then hell get a taste of his own medicine

If he were a true friend he would not go through with his threat to make a fake you so to speak. By no means am I trying to make you think he is not your friend, but he should not do that. Myspace can sometimes be a good thing, but also at times a burden. If you don't want one you don't want one I suppose.

simple: don't create a myspace.
reason: first of all even if he does create an account, you can file a police report. Creating a profile and pretending to be someone is against the law. A lot of people are suing others nowadays. So just say: if you are going to create a myspace for me and pretend to be me, i will sue you. Now wheither you sue him or not is your own personal discretion. You can just say it so then he gets the pic not to create one for you. If he was really your friend he would not bully you into creating a myspace. Butt if he goes on ahead and creates a myspace for you then file a police report. that doesn't mean you have to sue him, but that mean that the profile will be taken down. FYI: keep updated with myspace. search your name regulary to be sure there isn't any fake profiles.

But MySpace can be a pretty crummy place. Just tell him the truth and say 'no'.
If he is really your friend, then he should respect your not-wanting-to-join-MySpace wishes. Does he really think MySpace is that big of a party? (Personally I like FaceBook better, you don't get mass spam messages from strippers and low-lifes trying to friend you constantly )

If he tries to pose as you, then that's seriously wrong. Sorry you have to deal with this!

Not to single anyone out, but this thread has been crawling for nearly five months now. Unless Xellimech actually cares to respond and tell us how things are, I believe it's safe to say that she/he has resolved the problem and doesn't need any more help, she forgot, or she can't be bothered to respond.

Whichever it is, I think it's best this thread stays down.
