My favorite characters are Sasuke, Neji, Hinata, Itachi, and Shino.

My favorite out of these is Shino, definiately.

I started reading Naruto in Shonen Jump, but I was just starting to read
manga, so I didn't read it that much...Plus I couldn't afford it at the time.
I started watching the anime, and now I have 3 volumes... I would have 4,
but I lost the volume with the fight between Neji and Hinata on a school trip.

Naruto's voice is a strain both in the English version and the Japanese version (with subtitles that is). The only episode I have sat through and watched was Episode 19 I believe, with Zabuza and Haku; that was pretty deep, and had a nice conclusion.

Overall though, it looks nice, but I don't think I could really sit down and enjoy it. The concepts are nice--drawing some inspiration from real life--but I can't really find it enjoyable. Naruto alone just kills everything for me, unfortunately. I wouldn't mind seeing more about Zabuza if he didn't die.

I think, that if you guys really got to watch it, and not just off of episode 19, that you may have enjoyed it. I mean, the first arc is a bit of a bore. But, once you get to Chuunin Exams, it gets good. I would suggest watching some of it, but some episodes can be boring.

Shippuuden is amazing though. But, seriously... there is no show worse than Ed, Edd, n Eddy. -____-'

Shippuuden is what the anime nicknamed the 2 1/2 year timeskip (kind of like what the anime did with Magic Knight Rayearth; first season is just plain MKR and season two is MKR2... for some reason). The manga doesn't have this nickname, it's just plain... Naruto.

Van explained it perfectly. The translation for Shippuuden is Hurricane Chronicles. You should watch it on youtube or something sometime...

Oooo-eee! I just saw some of the first episode of Naruto Shippuuden, and it actually looks really good to me. I saw on youtube that it has over 200 episodes? Is that right? Hmmm... I don't know if I can go that long. Is it worth it? And what about the first Naruto series, where he's a kid? Is it just as good? I don't watch shows for the sake of fight scenes. I watch them for characters and storyline. Anyone think the first series is worth my time?

Naruto in total has like 200 (jeezus, neverending much?), but Shippuuden as far as I know has around 19 or so.

Well... I read all the way from the beginning to the timeskip, and just a little after that... never really got into it though, mostly because my interest dwindled after a while. xD; But, I guess you could read it all if you wanted to? I mean, seriously, it's a lot of chapters. I guess if you have the patience...

Let's see. The later Shippuuden episodes are lacking a bit of quality. The action so far, isn't that great... (Other than Sakura & Naruto VS Kakai-Sensai) and hopefully next week's episode will be much better.

I suggest reading the manga, since it's a lot better with action, and it's just... incredible. Then just watch the anime to see how they make it. ;]

As for PTS (Pre Time Skip) Naruto... it's only from like, Episode 1 - 137 I think. The last episode is when Naruto come's back from the fight with Sasuke, and Sakura promises that next time, they will do it together. (I don't want to spoil too much. Heh...) Episodes 138 - 230 something is ALL FILLER. So, don't watch them if you hate filler. I, of course don't... I just wish they had more Sakura in fillers. ;_;

First, they take the Chuunin Exams Test. They answer certain questions and such... There's a trick to how they do the test, and you'll have to watch to find out.

The next, is the forest of death. Each Squad starts off with either a Heaven Scroll or an Earth scroll. There goal is to get the other scroll, other than what they have. They have to survive in dangerous environments and be on guard from enemy ninja. Once they get both types of scrolls, they go to the preliminary arena.

This is where the people, who have survived, and gotten both scrolls fight. Whoever wins gets to go onto the final exam.

This is it. The Final Exam. It's the same as the previous. Most likely, you win a match, you become Chuunin. (They kind of mixed it up a bit.)

Also, finally! someone besides me considers Sakura to be someone thats not useless.. (Yes, I'm referring to you, Haruno Sakura.)
