Code Lyoko is going to go out as a bittersweet memory of what could have been but wasn't. The kind of show you buy on DVD so you can watch it years later while getting drunk and getting depressed about all the missed opportunities it had. I'm going to really miss the characters, that's for sure. I'm not ready for it to end. It feels like the story hasn't even gotten started.
My question is this: What happens to Lyoko Freak after CL is over? Are we all just going to drift away one by one until the site is dead? I just got here, dangit!

Ya know, in my opinion, Code Lyoko is like a good joke. You can keep it goin' for awile, and everybody loves it. If you start tryin' to make too many variations of it, It gets old. But if you just keep sayin the same joke over and over again, It gets annoying.

Just like Zex, I don't want CL to end! Just think of what is still left untold! We could have specials, Movies and the like! Not just 1 or 2 episodes that barely cover it in season 4!

Well, if it goes on and on, the show is going to lose its popularity. This show is at the moment a seminal type of show, but if they become sellouts and go on and on, the show officially sucks and I'm watching the Simpsons until I die.

Or, at least, the first 4 seasons of CL and if S5 is about Franz, Lani/Antea, and Waldo, I'll watch that.

I think I would prefer CL to end at season 4, season 5 tops. It all depends on if season four's non-cliffhanger ending covers everything.

Well, I'm all for a movie. I don't think I'd be able to stand different characters, and I don't think I'd be able to suck in a 5th season. Isn't S4 enough...for now?

The only way I'd like a "Season 5" is if it was a Prequel series, to show how Project Carthage got started, and the circumstances surrounding XANA's and Lyoko's creation.

I want Code Lyoko to end when Xana has this really dramatic defeat and blows up louder than the Sun with awesome music playing. After that, the owners should create a drama series starring the whole cast of the series in a Japanese highschool called Kachikku Koukou.

On the other hand, if season 4 finishes with a horrible ending, I will personally beat down Moonscoop's door in support of a 5th season to do the series justice.

You know, people who say that either stopped watching when Misty left or (in REALLY bad cases) are convinced after watching part of season 1 that nothing will beat the first 13 and haven't bothered watching since. And we're on Season 10.

I just hope that season five focuses more on Franz Hopper, than season four did, and doesn't go downhill like Teen Titans or Pokemon.

You know, people who say that either stopped watching when Misty left or (in REALLY bad cases) are convinced after watching part of season 1 that nothing will beat the first 13 and haven't bothered watching since. And we're on Season 10.

I only stopped watching Pokemon this season; while it has decayed from the beginning, I blame the whole franchise's genre-drift from an adventure series to a virtual pet+sport series, not the length.

It's hardly a rule that "Things just go more downhill with more seasons"; just look at Stargate SG-1. It could have managed an 11th season quite well, I think.
