Well apparently we'll be learning more about 'Antea/Anthea Hopper' in S4 - also apparently her name has a connection to Aelita's - looking at the translations from French, my guess is that 'Ael' was Anthea's maiden name, and thus 'Aelita' is a reference to that.

It was said a few months ago that Moonscoope was a go, Canal J was a go, and all they needed was the funding from France 3. Now that they have agreed to fund Season 5, a press release from Moonscoop should come soon.

To all the people saying season 5 is too much. What is your problem? I respect your opinions and I get what you're saying but still...at least they are giving us a good show. If they stopped showing Code Lyoko then we'd have to watch *eye twitches* other CN shows like My Gym Partner is a Monkey or Ben 10.

Honestly, I'd love to see a season five, no matter what changes, as long as the core concepts and stuff are still the same. Even if there are new characters, or a new location, or anything like that. However, it could go either way, depending on how S4 ends and how well they pull off the start of S5. I'm not going to decide now whether it's worth watching, because S4 hasn't even ended yet! I'll wait until after the current season ends and we know a little more about the next one.

IMO the series has been going downhill since the halfway point of S3... hence why I'm doubty about a FIFTH season. :< I don't think CL can afford to be made any worse than it is now. (Not saying that CL is bad here- its credibility as a decent show is really low for the non-fans, and you all know it :\)

As long as they have a good plot and INTERESTING filler if necessary, I'm fine with it. Although I don't expect much. >_> We'll have to see how S4 ends to see what'll hapen...

I've been saying this since the begining: WAIT UNTIL S4 IS DONE BEFORE DEMANDING S5.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure this is the season that they kill XANA. Or at least, Sophie said this was the last season.

So we should wait and see if there NEEDS to be a S5 before asking for it. Otherwise it just drags on.

MoonScoop has expressed <i>interest</i> in making a 5th season but there has been no formal confirmation on there part. I assume they are still waiting to see how season 4 fares with audiences, and there is still the fact that Season 4 ends the current storyline.

A 5th season would have a new storyline and new characters. That has been said since the start.

Not to be a party-pooper, but LyokoCode even put a warning in that very same news post about "jumping the gun" too soon about a 5th season.

We still have to wait for confirmation from several other people, MoonScoop being the primary.

Now I have a question which is that if Moonscoop does confirm a Season 5 and starts to create a Season 5, if it would take them like one month to create each episode and if there were to be 30 episodes of Season 5, then that would mean we would have to wait 30 months (or 2 and a half years) before it even airs. But couldn't they just air the episodes they create? In other words, have an episode air once a month since we would be waiting 30 months anyway?

Also, here's another question which is that if they can't air the episodes they create as time goes on and that we would actually have to wait 2 and a half years before Season 5 actually airs, could Moonscoop actually lie to us and say that there is not going to be a Season 5 just so that us fans won't become impatient and think that there is nothing to wait for? And then at the last minute before Season 5 airs, Moonscoop would then tell us the truth that they have been creating a Season 5 all along?

3D may take longer than 2D due to modeling, calculations, and whatever, but it's easy to create scenes and movement and use the same models all around, just gotta proof the scenes and watch out for kinks. One episode each month, who'd do that? Multitasking is a beautiful thing. Gets things done quicker.

As for them, deceiving us about S5, I doubt it. Better impatient fans who know S5 is one the way than fans who lose interest and drops the show for good thinking there won't be a S5, I say.

IMHO all of S3 kind of sucked, but S4 has made up for it. Of course, that's just my opinion.

So, S5 isn't exactly confirmed, but it's a definite possibility. Good, that gives me something to look forward to. As for the fact that they won't be continuing the same storyline, well, it's fine by me. As long as it still has something to do with Lyoko and Project Carthage, I'll be happy.

And I agree with timekitten. There's NO way it would take that long to make a full season.
