My parents don't like my band

Okay, well, this is how it goes. I recently became a member in a Christian death metal band called Satan on Fire. I play guitar, and I love it. My friend Sebastian (he's the lead vocalist, and founder) was kind enough to give me my position. The thing is, my parents don't support it. I'm 18, but I still care what they think. They think the whole concept is ridiculous (It sort of is, but I still think it's awesome) and often give me a hard time about it. And that sucks. They're my parents, they shouldn't give me crap about doing something I love!

It's starting to really annoy me.

Well, I would, but we don't have any. Before you start accusing me of lying to you guys, let me give you my lame excuses. One, this band was just recently started, so me, Sebastian, and the drummer Cal are the only members. And two, we have wrote any lyrics yet. I thought up of a title for a song "The Reflecting God", but I've yet to write the lyrics.

Parents are always scared/apprehensive/worried about their kids...*take your pick there*...when their kids get into new things. They should get used to it eventually.
