I need to blow off some steam. I don't expect any sympathy for this; I would just like to share my outrage with you, so please listen to my tale of woe. The other day I went to this new gaming shop where they still have über old video games. I saw some really cool titles for the Nintendo 64 that I really wanted to buy, for $7.50 each. Since I wasn't sure my old Nintendo 64 still worked, (it went kablooie after a botched gameshark experiment a long time ago) I didn't get them right away and instead went home to see if I could make the darned thing work again. Lo and behold, I worked like new. So today I went back to the game store ready to buy those games, only to realize they had received a slight price uprade.
Both are now $24.50 each.
I'm not even kidding you. I'm not exactly made of money and my parents refuse to lend me any if they know I'll use it to buy video games. (I can only get away with it at Christmas or on my birthday) The sad thing is, that store is the only place in town that still deals in cartridges from older generations, and I don't think I'll get another decent chance to find those two games at such low prices (the original ones, I mean) ever again. Sure, I can still get them online, but I'm rather upset about this little event.
