Life points.

Postby MY85 » Mon Aug 22, 2005 4:39 pm

We all know Aelita has 100 LP and the other 3 like 80 LP, if I'm not mistaken. But you guys remember the NovaDesign video, where we see Aelita's Overwing devirtualizing and she falling from it. So if that happened, then all vehicles can be devirtualized. So my questions would be:

1) How many life points the vehicles have?

2)And if anyone of Team Lyoko loses all their life points, do the vehicles disappear with them as well?

I think in the CN preview Yumi's OverWing took only one lazer and it devirtualized. So it might only take one good shot. However...laser/lifepoint ratios tend to change from episode to episode in CL, so it's awfully hard to track. ^^;

For number two...we'll probably have to wait until we see actual episodes to answer that for sure. I'd assume they'd disappear with them...although in Yumi and Aelita's case it might be helpful if they didn't. ^_^

I thought they all start with 100 lifepoints in Lyoko? Is it really only Aelita that does?

And while we're on this topic, what about the monster's life points? It was said that this new monster has more life points than the others do, but don't they only have to hit the X.A.N.A. symbol to destroy a monster? Why do the life points matter?

I heard that the spider has like 250 LP (rumours around the Internet) or more than that.

I guess somehow, the monster's life points matter, just in case they can't hit them in the XANA symbol.

The weakest monsters (or smaller ones) have 20 or 30 LP, the others more, I guess...

Yep. The monster's life points do matter when they can't make a direct hit to the XANA eye for an instant kill. In one of the episodes (I'm pretty sure it was "Amnesia" ), Yumi hits a Krabe with her fan, but misses the XANA eye. Jeremie tells her it's lifepoints are down and that one more hit will finish it. Yumi takes another shot and the Krabe is destroyed. So the monsters do actually have life-points. I suppose Team Lyoko just doesn't bother with knocking down their life points alot of the time, since a good hit to the XANA eye will finish it regardless. ^_^

At least, Jeremie does. Someone has to care about it, after all. And there's more than just one episode where they have to do more hits to kill a XANA henchbot.

I thought that was in "Claustrophobia"

It could have been....but I'm pretty sure it's "Amnesia" because I think I remember the scene taking place in the Polar Region. Claustrophobia's battle takes place in the "Forest Region" and has the infamous "Yumi save". I'll have to go check my tapes to be sure. ^_^

Actually, it probably did happen in "Claustrophobia" because I remember it happening in the Forest Region...

The sudden appearance of the Krabs (similar to virtualization) is what I remember from "Amnesia" ("I'm sick of always being right!" - Yumi)

You're right. I just checked my videos. It is "Claustrophobia". I was getting them confused because in both of them, Yumi fights a Krabe alone. In "Amnesia" though she destroys it in one shot (after a short game of "Hide and Go Seek-n-Destroy" ). XD

So it's definitely "Claustrophobia", and it's true that the monsters do actually have life points that can come into play with an indirect hit. :)

That's O.K.; I always mix up "Frontier" and "Routine" myself; especially when it comes to which one The Touch is in (it's "Frontier"... and I almost typed "Routine" AGAIN!!!)

XD That's okay too. Just think how confused the episodes will get when we add the season 2 ones in. ;)

Indeed!

Which reminds me; I need to find those video tapes I bought in April to tape Season 2.

Now that reminds me of how many times they changed Season 2's release date. From April to May, then to June, finally 'till September. At least, that's what I know of...

Most of those were unofficial release dates (ones found on MSN groups and the like). The May one in particular...the only one I remember ever seeing on an official news report was "September" which was mentioned on an article saying that CN had ordered the 26 episodes of Season 2. I remember though that alot of us saw "September 2005" and went: "We have to wait that long!?!" :toomuch:

Good point, SamBlob! :D Got to go find those new tapes myself... XD

*bumps thread because Max Gene started a Life point thread*

Max Gene (and everybody else), discuss the LP matter here.

Max Gene wrote:What the nut is with our life points? The singing ability is said to take 50 from Aelita, and I believe the starting amount is 100- but she used it twice today, so if that estimate is right, she should've devirtualized into nothing. Also, it seems like lasers have different damages from show to show- and Wikipedia lists our heroes as having an impossibly low 50 to start with. Is there ANY consistency to be found on this issue? Anywhere? Because it seems like life points are just stated when convenient to up the drama. And you'll note the numbers on the cards are always difficult to read- probably because of all this.

Aelita might be very different from others, I think. She's a rare and different case. I'm not the best one to explain this to you, but I'm sure Mewberries, SamBlob, TB3 or somebody else will explain you this.

Maybe she's getting better and it only takes 45 LP now?

Another question: How long does it take the gang's LP to recharge?
