Sorry guys, we've been going on for a few pages, and since TB3 has admin powers, he can unlock this when he releases it.

But for now, I'm gonna, well, let's just say put a finger in the dam for a few hours, mm'kay?

Hi guys - sorry to keep you waiting - I had wanted this online almost two hours ago, but due to some confusion we still seem to be waiting.

I'm still aiming for getting it out tonight though in one shape or another. Sorry to keep you all hanging like this. I feel like a bit of a b**tard.

Just got done watching the first part, and while it's too late for me to give a full review at the moment (3:00 AM here in the States, and I have a 10:30 class tomorrow), I have some comments.

-Sissi's role as co-narrator: freakin' awesome. Especially since this means that she's getting more screen time in your documentary than she's gotten in all of season 4 combined XD Question. Did you give Jodi a script to read off of, or did she ad-lib a lot of her dialogue? Either way she gave a spectacular performance, but if she improv'd it... oh man... that's like Wayne Brady levels of good. Hope to hear much more of her in part 2!

-Matthew Geczy= wow. Can't put my finger on EXACTLY who he looks like... Sting maybe? Guy is awesome, never thought Odd's voice was coming out of THAT. Also, he's so lucky, spending so much time with Mirabelle (who is an absolute cutie). Lol @ Sissi's Matthew Geczy infatuation... the whole Odd compilation you put together was great.

-Production values are excellent for a fan-made production. I love all the video effects you did, the cuts really looked professional. Would love for Cartoon Network to offer you a chance to put this on the network (they'd probably have to censor some of the language, lol), it's really that good. It's easy to tell you guys are big fans of Code Lyoko, and the passion you put into the project really shows. I'm amazed at almost everything in this, it really is a professional-level video. Thank you SO much for putting this together, and I can't wait for part 2!

I just finished watching the whole thing. Teebs, you and the others really went for the top notch with this one. I loved the Sissi narration as well. I also enjoyed the parts where you showed the trip and how you got to each place. Putting faces to the names was really nice. I loved it when Mirabelle and Matt did the Yumi/Odd laser arrow bit, that was great. Good Job, and I really cant wait for part 2.

To leave off where you did seemed a mite evil, Teebs. But I loved it (though I felt like I needed subtitles at times). Sissi a co-narrator made the whole project even more endearing, as it added a dimension that no other fan video could. I hope that we get to hear a lot of interviews in the second part (not that I want to hear less funny narration), as that is what I was looking forward to most in Lyoko Decoded. I'll leave a more detailed view of my thoughts after I've seen the whole thing together (whenever that might be).

Cheheheheh.

Well, I've seen half of it. (i'm about halfway through the series recap scene.) I can't watch the rest right now, because I have no more breaks today, except maybe lunch. So...after school, i'll watch the rest.

Anyway, whatever I've seen, I LOVE. Teebs (i love having approval to say that some more!) and his accent make a triumphant return. I finally see bits of Garage Kids- the animation is oddly more fluid than in CL- and the Sissi narraration. The Sissi narraration.

Rhys Davies wrote:Would you calm down if I showed you footage of Ulrich in skintight spandex?

I hardly think that'd calm her, Rhys...*brick'd* Uh, either way, Quote of The Year. One of them, anyway.

Now, I have to know. Was that Jodi, or someone else? It had a different...twang to it than Jodi.

Couldn't quite understand what Jodi herself was saying, though. (And Jerome, too, but that may have been because of his accent.) Can't wait for the subtitles. :D

Either way, it looks amazing so far, and I can't wait to see the rest!

Woot, was looking forward to this all day~ x3

First off, I seriously had NO idea about Romain taking part in producing OBAN STAR-RACERS after he left the team. That's probably my alltime favourite non-anime show (it's sorta half anime but yeah fgjifocwoly; :<) next to CL! D: D: D: That's so awesome! I should've recognised the name though. :X

It's great so far... but Teebs, your high-pitched voice during the technical difficulties screen hurtied my ears. D| Mine would have the same effect, but... yeah. >_>;

Can't really give much of an opinion other than that. Now to wait for the NEXT part. xD;;

Yo Guys - thanks for the positive initial feedback.

For the record, yes I wrote Sissi's dialogue - I scripted it all out along with my responses and we recorded all 22 pages of it one day back in the summer through Skype. Jodi gave an awesome performance and yes, you'll be seeing more of Sissi in the future, including bits where Jodi gets to branch out a bit :)

RySenkari wrote:-Matthew Geczy= wow.

Lol, Matt's been one of the most enthusiastic proponents of this project - he telephoned me one time in the middle of a camping trip to ask how things were going - and yes, Mirabelle is incredibly sweet (she kissed me on both cheeks when we met! :) ) - Matt particularly loves the Odd video btw - it's the oldest piece of this as I made it over a year ago - he loved it then, loves it now and wants me to extract that bit so he can have it on his computer :)

Highway Runner wrote:I just finished watching the whole thing. Teebs, you and the others really went for the top notch with this one. I loved the Sissi narration as well. Lol - it was a fun trip, and editing together the travel footage was fun (btw, if you watch that bit I played in really fast speed slowly, you can follow the route all the way from our hotel in Est Rosny Sou Bois to the train station we used to commute into Paris each day).

Writing_Addict wrote:And just a thought (okay a question truly) ...where have you gotten all that background music from? Cause I swear I heard something from Disney's Mulan... O.O

Lol, I love film soundtracks and have a big collection of them both on disc and downloaded from online. As yes, that was Mulan you heard - kudos for picking it out :)

kamekai wrote:And that ending music... I've heard them before... It's that German heavy metal band, right?

If you're thinking of E Nomine you're half right. I used some of their music 'Das Omen' for when I explain William and his clone, but the end credits music with the chanting is from this scene in the new Transformers movie (score by Steve Jablonsky) - expect more from both of these artists in Part 2 :)

All of this music will be on the OST file btw and credited to the original artist/composer, except renamed (the Mulan one for example I called 'Adventures in Virtuality' and the Transformers one 'Altar to the Machine God').

Lol - yes that was Jodi playing Sissi - and the slightly off twang aspect is due to my poor Skype connection and the subsequent clean-up of the audio files.

As for Jodi's own footage, my camera messed up the sound on her, hence why it's distorted - that was one reason why I approached her to narrate with me, to make up for her interview being slightly spoilt by the sound contamination.

Jerome's English is very good, although we did need Serge to translate at times, but all this is part of the reason for the upcoming subtitled file - we had hoped to release it yesterday as well as the raw footage, but complications with the subbing group in California caused us to fall behind.

Yes, Thomas Romain's departure is one of the shows nastier skeletons in the cupboard, along with the apparently mafia-like working relationship with Nicholas Atlan and the DeSabinatino brothers. I did try to get in touch with Romain through his new employers, but he never replied.

Lol, I loved some of the dialog I wrote - and there's more coming, because Part 2 starts with me unconscious and Sissi trying to run the show based off my notes XD

Taelia wrote:You're talkin' to Sissi! XD

Yes, yes I am, and it was an incredible experience - just as incredible as when Matt joking called me a b**tard in Odd's voice for eating the last chocolate Tootsie Pop XD

Well, to be honest, I haven't really be following this project. I haven't kept in touch with Code: Lyoko in ages, and usually keep my attention to the General and Site-related boards.

But I have to say, you've inspired me to start watching the show again. (We'll just have to hope I can actually remember to sit down and watch it). Good job Teebs, and of course, everyone else who contributed to this.
