If CN thinks the two episodes from CL that weren't shown are worthy of censore, why not putting Code Lyoko in Adult Swim? And if they make a 5th season, it wouldn't hurt Moonscoop to get a little bit edgier...

Or have CN stop showing the show in the USA. Let another channel grab Code Lyoko and air it for all I care. I'm only watching the show just to see how it ends.

Because Code Lyoko's Target audience (which they practically missed completely) is for 7-10 year olds.

I wouldn't mind more effective attacks, like posessing a ninja, if that's what you mean by edgy.

How so? For all I know, a bit more than 2 million people watch Code Lyoko in the USA. I don't remember which CL episode that aired on September had 2.4 with a 10 share in the Nielsen scale ratings. And that's on a Saturday morning airing.

The CL Internet Comunity's average age goes between 14-18, but how many younger people watch the show? I don't know.

Oh, then it must be in Michigan and Ohio where everyone hates it. I always get two reactions when i ask somebody about Code Lyoko:

"whazzat?"
or,
"I hate it, you're an idiot"

IF a little bit edgier means mire..."mature" themes, CL would prolly drop from 2 million fans to 50,000 because of it would lose quite a bit of it's viewers.

Man CN is retarded. Why don't they show the good shows like Ed,Edd,N' Eddy or Tom and Jerry. Code Lyoko is the only good show left on CN. Code Lyoko has good plotlines and funny parts butt the people at CN they think kids only like lame generic fart jokes.

Although you're completely right, I would love to see a 'TVPG' rated Season 5, about the Franz Hopper consipacy. *_* Just think of the possibilities! *sniff sniff* Hmm, I smell a little like fish. :S

Well, yeah, and especially the air time these days. I'm normally asleep when it comes on, so that sucks.

Taelia, where are you getting your information from? You have no proof that they are "refusing" to air "Lab Rat".

Must I say it again? "Lab Rat" was lost due to schedule jumps. It happens. Relax. Please.

Again. "Lab Rat" was not censored. There is nothing in "Lab Rat" to censor.

"Lab Rat" was lost due to a likely scheduling error when the show changed air times. It hasn't been able to be "rerun" because there is no time anymore when CL reruns play. When the next marathon rolls around, (or they start playing reruns again), we'll probably catch it then.

And if by "two episodes", I'm assuming you mean "Kadic Bombshell" as the second. That hasn't been censored/skipped either. It's playing November 3rd when CL resumes its normal playing time.

...Come on guys, please don't let me explain this a third time. ^^;

"You're a creepy genius."

Hmm... another thing I was seeing... on the ToonZone forums, the cartoon ratings were posted (not all of them, just a few). 2.4/10 (Bragging Rights), 1.6/8 (Distant Memory), 2.5/11 (Hard Luck) and 1.8/8 (Guided Missile) for some episodes aired.

Are those numbers good for Code Lyoko? Well, CN isn't winning on the ratings against Nick and Disney...

Well, that's because the show we love is seminal and very influential, but all of the influential stuff is pushed aside for more mediocre crap.

Do you think Pavement, Silverchair, Sonic Youth, and Captain Beefheart made many, many platinum albums? No, they did not! Silverchair had one and that was "Frogstomp", but all albums after that "sucked" and only got gold. Beefheart, Sonic Youth, and Pavement have sales in the low 100s and only have about 200,000 CDs of theirs sold because peope won't adjust.

We should go for the seminal and not go for the mediocre! That's what we should do!

As in the words of Brian, "We're all different!"

...all right, this thread is much too long for me to contribute accurately to the conversation, so I'll just base everything in this post off that quote by MY85 up there. First off, I'm glad Cartoon Network has the show. Besides Cartoon, the only other station I ever watch, ever, is Comedy Central, (the sole exception being The X-Files on Sci-Fi every now and again) which means that if they hadn't picked it up I would have missed it entirely and a the wonderful feelings I get from this great cartoon would have remained a mystery to me forever.

However, I do agree that it would be fantastic if the show got a little edgier, though I'm sad to say that the American distributors of most animated entertainment here in the USA are so prudish, there'd be practically no chance of us getting the rest of the series if it did. I think CL is a bit "off" because it's too complex and mature for really small children and superficially unappealing to most adults in the [adult swim] crowd, unless they are fans of the show to begin with, meaning CL has a bit of a hard time fitting in no matter where it is. Fortunately, though, I think kids today are much more sophisticated than adults give them credit for, and plenty of them can really get the hang of this show and stick with it. Those long pauses Cartoon takes in airing CL are a bit unnerving, but in all honesty I don't see a problem besides that.

...unless, of course, you mean non-CL Cartoon Network. Then yeah, it's sadly deteriorating.
