Vote now for your favourite C:L Writer!

Postby TB3 » Sun Nov 04, 2007 7:51 pm

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!

We give you the writers of Code: Lyoko, and all episodes they have been associated with, having either devised the plot, or written the screenplay, or both.

We invite you to cast your vote here and now, so we can find out once and for all, who is the greatest CL writer of all time!

When casting your vote, please take into account quality of episodes, not necessarily quantity, as one does not equate the other.

The episodes are all colour-coded, pink for Season One, green for Season Two, Blue for Season 3, and Red for Season 4.

Also, feel free to try and find patterns or insight in this - note for example how Season 4 has a number of one-or-two-shot writers who have never written for the show before - where these episodes better or worse than usual?

Feel free to even support reviews/critiques of the writers or sing their praises - post away and give your opinions! :)

PS: Remember - this isn't a popularity contest :)

REMEMBER: Most episodes have more than one person working on them - please factor this into your choices before you vote

I can't really choose, but for me, it's a tie between Laurent Turner and François Déon. François did a GREAT job on writing "The Lake", one of my fave episodes of Season 4. I haven't seen "Canine Corundum" yet, but the guy that wrote it probably did well too. And the person that wrote "Cold War".

I can't really choose.

Aww, there's no "all" choice? :nyeh!:

Yeah, Sophie, most notably for her work on episodes such as "Temptation." *_*

Hard to say who's the best.

Laurent Turner quite sucks, though.

Sophie has written most of the exciting episodes, but her plot twists tend to be illogical. I also like Alain because he wrote the strongest drama for the show.

I really can't decide since so many episodes are written in a collaborative effort and not by a single person. And there have been different combinations of writers, it seems. All I can say is Bruno Regeste and Sophie Decroisette seem to work well together.

After looking at the list for a long while, Sophie Decroisette seems to consistantly be writing the more plot centric episodes. If they did more episodes a season like that, this show would be great a lot more consistantly. This easily wins my vote at any rate. Bruno Regeste gets an honorable mention for doing a good number of the more character developmental episods that the fanbase actually remembers fondly.

Laurent Turner seems lame orriginally, but toword the end of his run, (especially if you credit 64 and 65 to him as much as Sophie,) his episodes are seeing improvement.

I'm not sure what to make of Bruno Merle & Jean-Rémi François. Their episodes are a mixed bag of filler (S1 and S3) and small but interesting development (S2 and S4.)

Françoise Charpiat: Filler, congrats on everybody remembering Vertigo forever though.
Alain Serluppus: Filler, Franz Hopper was cool but a lot of folks worked on it so...

The rest: I gotta see a better average of their episode qualities to comment.
