Lyoko resembles Carbon

Postby FènéethxAelita » Thu Nov 01, 2007 9:26 am

I noticed something about lyoko, that it looks like a carbon-12 atom with the atomic orbitals emphasized. It's electron configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p2, resulting in two full s orbitals, and two p orbitals with a single electron. The edge of lyoko looks like an election cloud, though there's no reason to show both the cloud and orbitals. Carbon is also the base of life, well, most life. This comparison probably means nothing but it seams so similar.

This thread is much too intellectual to generate an acceptable number of replies.

...nice sleuthing, though. I never would have thought to find such a similarity.

Not so much; the electron domains of carbon are tetrahedral- they're arranged more spiky and less wheel-and-spokey.
(yeah, the cool links in my old sig died. :( A few nerdy newish projects are here. )

I know, since that explains it's properties, but I was making a more general comparison. But then again, how is this conversation "general"?
Good point, though.
