Strange childhood habits you never outgrew

When I was younger, about six, maybe eight at the latest, I used to talk to myself a bit. Not like, "Oh, he's got imaginary friends", but a full-fledged conversation. I'd present a question myself, and then I'd imitate one of my friends and answer the question. I laughed at some of my own jokes, in that sense.

...Yeah. I swear I'm not crazy, but I was going through some rough times at about that age. That's some self-defense mechanism, isn't it?--I concur.

Edit: Found a similar thread, "Bad Habits", though it's been dead for about a year. Bad habits, childhood habits... The same, different? I'd say they're slightly different, but that's a pitiful attempt to keep this thread alive.

I don't really have any habits from my childhood. I didn't even have habits at all when I was young.

I'd say sleeping with plushies. I love having something in my arms to hold, and I have about four plushies that stay on my bed regularly (a small heart, a bunny, and a rabbit from my boyfriend; and a Dialga that Mew gave me) with several others scattered all over my room (including a beloved white buffalo plush I've got that I named William because of the way the "mane" looks when it's wet ). I can't help it, I love having stuff to hold when I fall asleep xD ^^;

I know there's more, but I can't think of 'em right now...

EDIT: You know what? Naming my plushies can probably count as one too xDD

I sleep with stuffed animals- AND I'M A GUY. (Hey, my Shadow the Hedgehog plushie needs love.)

I always run the long way to go up the steps to the library. No real reason for it.

If there is a hill, rock, or anything, I must climb it.

If the sidewalk is fifty feet wide, I will always walk at the very edge, teetering off occasionally.

Sometimes, I still wear the rattle Daddy bought me when I was two months old. It's like a bracelet, but it's still a rattle. I found it and tried it on. It still fit, and now I wear it all the time. Me and my best friend even named it.

I still call my doctor "Doctor Barry."

His name is Doctor Altschuler (I know I spelled that wrong), and my mom told us that his name was Barry because

A) It's his first name
B) Come on! What three-year-old can say "Altschuler?" Heck, I can't even spell it!
