I am sick of hearing about gangsters every day. They are not tough and would go down in a fight. Everyone is saying how tough gangters are. Gangsters have proven that they can't fight because they ALWAYS just shoot whoever wanted to fight them. "They are from the ghetto so they rule." Growing up in the ghetto isn't cool. So they grew up in a broken down town. Big deal...

These are my thoughts on gangsters.

Wasn't sure whether to let this thread keep falling or not, but eh, probably won't get anymore responses after this anyways.

To keep it short: Why are you mad at popular culture's representation of "gangsters", when really, there are worse things out there, part of which may have conceived the "ghetto"? Most gangsters grow up in tough households, and sometimes, they have no choice but fall into that lifestyle of guns. Then we stereotype them. That's not really helping, is it?

I dislike most of the heat rappers get, too--I know there are a few rappers came from violent neighborhoods like that. They're doing a lot better than their peers; they have well-paying jobs, a comfortable life, doing something they love, and yet, we blast them for just rapping about their past lives. I would like to think they're rapping to show the world exactly what the gangster life is, but, admittedly, a good portion of rap is worthless garbage, so that's a gray area.
