Name a good Sonic game after he made the jump to 3-D, cause I'm having a hard time thinking of one right now.

Mario all the way baby! He's the Mickey Mouse of video games and has been i countless genres of games ranging from racing to RPGs which are all a blast to play. Mario Kart DS has such a strong following that they play that game in Evo which is pretty much the game tournament of the year. Smash Brothers was there as well but there was not a game staring Sonic in the house.

Sonic Adventure for the Sega Dreamcast.

I say Sonic.

IMO Sonic has had way better games then Mario. In Mario all you do is save a princess form...a dragon/turtle thing. Seems a bit childish to me. Also they say Mario is a plumber. Yet there is little to no proof of Mario being a plumber.

I have way more fun playing Sonic games then Mario games so I chose Sonic. Plus SEGA is better then Nintendo cause Sega does what Nintendon't.

I would say mario, because of Super Mario Galaxies. It looks SO awesome. what good games has Sonic had in the last two years?

(Super Sonic pwns Super Mario, however. If they could just use him as something different than a Deus-ex Machina, I'd love it)

Sonic is better because he moved faster than Mario. Plus, Sonic didn't have as much spinoff games as Mario did.

Also, the 32X's "Chaotix" was good, but hard.

well mario was the first game with a actual character but the thing was that it was just a one room game and had the same things in it every game, but it also was a low quality game but sonic was one of the games after that which was made with a lot better quality which are the ones for the sega systems. It had more then a one room area it had a more of a adventure to it unlike the early mario games. so sonic is a better game because of graphics and he is fast.

I like Mario myself, because like many children, I was raised on Nintendo and saturday morning cartoons (anyone remember that old mario one?).

Plus the Mario music is epic. End of story.

I'm going to have to say Mario all the way.

Mario is the game that brought a lot of my RL friends together - mostly because of all the awesome multiplayer games. I know Sonic has a few, but games are definitely a lot more fun and attractive when more people are able to play it. When you want to pwn your best friend at a video game, what do you do? take em down in Super Smash! In need of a good race? Mario Kart or Double Dash! They even have sports! And not to mention all of the newer ones... but most of all, he's timeless. I bet even when I'm older and have kids this guy's still going to be around for games.

Sonic has a lot of complaints. I myself have disliked most if not all of the 3D ones... But then, that's my opinion though, huh?

I say Mario all the way because i grew up playing Mario games. But Sonic is just as good as Mario. They are both icons of Gaming History. I just like Mario a tiny bit more. No offense to Sonic fans.

Agreed, although the old sonic games had a very simplistic story.... run through the forest.. run through the chemical plant battle the boss and do it again.

I also think that both are going downhill... mario since the gamecube was released and Sonic After Adventure 2 Battle

I voted for Mario but mainly because he is better known to non games than sonic is.
