CL's Ending...What Are Your Thoughts?

I certainly hope there is a season 5, but I'm seeing two sides of the story. I see all of the pessimists, who either don't think it will happen or don't want it to, because they are afraid it will be different, and the optimists, who think it may happen, but aren't willing to do anything to help. At least people on CLTCG talked about a petition or something.

Moonscoop seems all over the place. I have confirmations of a fifth season, confirmations of special episodes, talk of a live action movie, and press releases denieing all of that at once!!!!!!! Can't they just let it out, instead of theis???

Nothing has been confirmed, and there are no talks of a live action movie. Get your facts straight. Moonscoop wanting to create a fifth season is not a confirm. Same with the special episodes, because that is what the show's writer would like to see.

We obviously don't know if there will be a season 5 or not, and won't know until we have positive proof of the fact, so let's not post theories..least some of us get a little confused on who-said-what-and-where.

It's not really up to us. Sure we're fans, but wouldn't it be better if Moonscope actually wanted to go ahead and give us another season? Without the pressure from fans? Sure there have been success stories of shows being 'saved', but very few of those shows had the drive and quality of the previous seasons. I think, if Moonscope wants to give us one more season, that it should be of their own will and desire to give us their very best. Meaning no petition, no pressure. Let them work their digital magic for us.

All in all, let's give them a break, they made such a great show for all of us to enjoy and speculate about. If this is indeed the last season, let's not be bitter that it ended a bit differently than we thought. Heck I thought XxJ would be cool...but I didn't see it. But I still enjoyed the ride.

If I were them, I would base at least some part of the decision on how many fans there were. Remember, the fans make them money. The more fans there are, the more money they make.

Taelia....since when has TB3 ever declared that there wouldn't or would not be a 5th season? He's only ever said that there was a "possibility" for one (which is also what Sophie Decroisette as well as MoonScoop has said), among other things. ^^;

Well since I haven't been on LF for awhile, I guess I'll post my opinion.

Well I'm not mad or happy that CL's ending. I lost all intrest in CL since around when episode 79 came out.

I really want a fifth season, despite all of the speculation that it will stink. I started watching it when it first came out, and when the first season ended, I stopped because my moron brother (he isn't a part of this forum, or any others.) kept on making fun of me, and calling it gay. Two years sater, I see another episode, a fourth season one, I just start to get back into the series, and they stop??? I haven't even seen the third or fourth seasons in there entirety yet, and the just quit???? That would just suck.

Well, keep in mind that though it may be abrupt for you, it isn't for most fans of the show. To me it FEELS like four seasons..not just so quick. But I'm still in favor now more than ever of it keeping it up. Though if they don't do a Season 5, i won't throw a hissy fit. I'll go with it and continue to be a loyal fan. Cause everyone knows, fanart and fanfiction and radioplays and all that good stuff is needed most AFTER it's ended...to keep the fandom still alive.

Kindly don't do that. There are far more sensible ways of venting whatever issues you have with CL ending than that.

And just how does it make them idiots for ending the show? They ended it on a high and positive note, with a final, but open enough end that the series can be continued by the fans through stories and artwork. They gave us 4 full seasons of episodes, and hundreds more ideas that the fans can continue the series with themselves.

How on <u>earth</u> does that make them idiotic? Please mind the way you word things and make sure you think things through. Calling MoonScoop and its creative team idiotic is just plain uncalled for.

Y'know, I always thought the show bombed once season 3 was in full swing. I loved S2 so much and expected the rest of the series to at least be on the same level of quality. But it never really showed for me. :| Hence why I lost a lot of my 'likeness' for the show and moved onto other things. I just finished the last few episodes today, and I have to say... I feel sad. I'm happy with the way it ended and all, the whole reminiscing about the series was great, but... I'm sad. When I got into CL, I got back into going onto the internet again after my long hiatus. Under the name Tekirai I went to TV.com, talked with some people there on the CL boards and then went to the official forums. However, I quickly left that. >_>; Then I finally signed up here and made all sortsa friends. When something that's changed me so much ends, you can't help but feel a little sad. As... dramatic as it sounds. <_<

I think the series is fine where it is. It had a good ending, left a reasonable amount of things unclear. I'll be skeptical when a new season is announced; that'll mean they'll have to come up with SOME plot device to make the season work. And well... Moonscoop isn't really the best at that from what I've seen. No offense to those who disagree, that's just imo. It might ruin what made the show great, and it has enough haters as it is...

The question is, what next? I might have an idea.

I have studied on how Writers, write episodes, and after watching #95 Echoes and seeing the Super Computer lid with the XANA symble, and with the light that was being emitted right before the credits rolled, I can tell they have a new plot twister focusing on the rebooting of the Super Computer

Possibly. Part of me really wants them to make a new series. That would seriously be awesome. But the other part of me has lost a bit of faith in them out of fear that they'll ruin it. I'm afraid that the episodes will be rushed, forced, and (excuse me) kinda crappy. I don't want to lose faith in Moonscoop, but I'm really worried that they'll let us all down. At the moment though I'm kinda content with the airings of the first season on CN. That's kinda replaced orange juice for my wake up call.
