What do you want to do with your life?

I hope this isn't a duplicate...

But, anyway, I know about 90% of us are still in school, including me. When you get out of school, what do you plan to do with your future? If you are out of school, what are you doing or still aspire to do? Hopes? Dreams? Family? No plans? Don't care? Whatever.

I know one thing I definitely want to be at some point is a writer. I make up stories all the time in my head, for instance, right now, and I want to get them down on paper and make money off them. Of course, if that doesn't work out, I'll have to have a backup job. I was thinking of teaching, but teachers don't get paid much...graphic design, maybe. Eh. I'll figure something out before it comes time to choose.

As for family, I think I'll go the general route- get married, have a kid, maybe two. Live in a good neighborhood, try to provide the best for him/her/them...yeah.

I love history. And thus, I want to be a history teacher. I would also like to be a writer, perhaps on the side. I know, teaching doesn't pay much. But you're not supposed to choose a job for money, you choose a job because you like it.

Family? Well... I don't know about that. I do not want kids. I'm no good with little kids. Maybe that will change... but for the time being, no kids. I would like to settle down with someone eventually. Get a nice place... most likely an apartment. Perfect for just two people, I wouldn't have to shovel or mow, and paying a few hundred a month is better than paying a few thousand a month for thirty years to pay off a house.

Part of me wants to end up with a PhD. I don't know if that will ever turn out, but I like the sound of Dr. [real name withheld].

Hm. Personally, I know that whatever I become it'll be related to computers and technology. I think once I'm old enough (maybe even out of college), I'm going to move away from my home and go north, somewhere around Minnesota probably (Arizona is too dry and hot. )- As for a family (wife, kids), no thanks. I'd rather not get married, but maybe my opinion will change. Unlikely though.

Am I the only one here that likes babies? Ok, so they're kinda stinky, and they poop a lot, and they eat stuff, and pregnancy/childbirth is a huge ordeal, and eventually you're going to have to pay for college, a car, etc... but c'mon, they're cute! [/totally not a convincing argument]

But, yeah, back on topic. Maybe I could be a politician, or someone else in public office. Then I could fix things in this country.

For me I want to be and engineer for NASA or the military. Or an astronaut

How ever I think I will be a Designer/Inventor of my own ideas. I think I would spend most of my time doing my own inventions because I have several books filled with my ideas.
(Currently I’m on page 88 of book AAAAO that I started on Wednesday. For a total of 2888 pages)
And I’m working on a few patents as well.

I would like kids yes there a pain but what do you think you and your spouse are supposed to do for 18 years. Also I believe that a parents job is to prepare their kids for life on their own and the kids job is to learn from there parents to be able to take care of them in their elderly years (retirement).

Well carth. I like kids (well behaved kids) i would eventually like one. But to get a kid you need a baby first. And i guess babies are ok. So yes maybe one two or even three kids.

As for a job probably want to get into 3d graphics i'm pretty good at it. But with a few more years of education i'll be a pro.
Back up job i haven't really thouht about. maybe a cop?
Also i have a long term girlfriend so i'm right in that catigory

I'm 24, and I still don't know what exactly I want to do with my life. I hate my day job, but I enjoy my night job, but I'm not satisfied with either. I am displeased with where I live, yet would not want to move away from all my friends. I want to travel and see the world, yet I am scared of change. I am at once content, apprehensive, happy, sad, and all in between. I just want a direction to go in.

I've always thought about becoming a teacher, for small children (somewhere in early elementary school). I love children, and I love to teach, and I think I could be really good at it ^^

Family? Well, I come from a family of 5 kids, so if I have kids, I'd want several- having to deal with inter-sibling squables and politics is good preparation for life.

I'd really like to be a computer specialist, since i know so much about them. I can fix almost any problem with a computer, except when you get into hardware. I know what most things are and what goes where, but beyoond that, i don't know

I'd also like to be a web designer. I really like web coding, and i'm good at it.

Hmm...well I'm already out of that prison called school sooo...probley more of what I'm doing now.
I'd love to take more art classes in the future, since one never should stop learning anything new, and do some more travelling, preferbly to Italy(if only to learn more about sculpture). I'd love to open my own small business later in life, or become an art teacher. It won't be easy, but I'm prepared to struggle to make it a reality.

As for family, I hate the thought of marrying or having a family or even a relationship. And while my relatives are concerned, I'm actually very happy with where I am, and have no need to bring someone into my life to make it complete.

I want to tell this story and characters I had for years. I don't care if it's a book, manga, or tv show (hah, not likely, though that would be sweet!), I really want to tell it.

As for an actual job, I'm still stuck between graphic designer, programmer, or web designer. Hmmm.
