How'd you get your username?

Well, I stole this from Lyoko Geniuses and the old Tech Links (now dead), but what inspired your current username?


Malkmusian: from a description of a Pavement video on YouTube (it was Cut Your Hair, nonetheless.) It basically means that it's like Stephen Malkmus.

General Marriott Suites: the Simpsons Movie, where Homer stole some bellhop's uniform and posed himself as a general to get into Springfield.

Tom Servo: Duh, MST3K! He's the gumball machine with arms that can't move.

Malky: A friendlier version of Malkmusian.

Spotlight Kid/Clear Spot: A Captain Beefheart release in 1992 consisting of his two Reprise albums, the Spotlight Kid (tracks 1-10) and Clear Spot (tracks 11-22).

[Carth]

I'll list all the ones I can remember...

Carth: Short for "Carthage", which you all know the meaning of- Sector 5 and those people that got pwned by the Romans. Also, "Carthage" was my old SN on some CL forum whose name I can't remember. (YDV was there. That's about all I remember about it.) And, no, it has nothing to do with Carth Onasi. I don't even know who that is, or if I spelled his last name right.

Carth_upon_a_star: My original username. The "upon_a_star" part came from my SN on TV.com. I just sorta...smashed the two together to create a SUPER MONDO AMAZING username.

Mahree: Funny-sounding spelling of my real name, Mary.

Majestik MOOSE- Long live Monty Python, dammit!

Can't remember any others. If anyone else happens to...^^;

Lyoko_Addict - This was my original CL username. The name explains all.
Colonel Catastrophe - Second name I used here. This was when I was on a CoD addiction as well.
Exploder - slang for Ford Explorer (my daily driver)

Lyoko422: If you don't know what Lyoko is, why are you here? 422 is from my birthday, April 22nd. In the United States, it is written numerically as 4/22. The number "422" is included in many names of mine across t3h interwebz.

Ryoko422: For a short time, I used this name. It was a fad catching on, Japanese-sounding usernames. Mine was kinda lame.

The Biographer: I am well-known for two things. One, my first ever major CL writing work, Ex Libris Lyoko. It is a collection of backstories of the main characters. The other is never finishing what I start. But anyway, because I have a tendency to write biographies, I became the Biographer. It never caught on.

Earth688: My evil alter-ego. Earth is kinda the opposite of Lyoko. 688 is sort of the anti-422, I don't know how to explain it.

I have also wondered what would happen if I dropped the Lyoko part and simply became 422...

Lyoko is a funny word (Kinda)
I miss being 12.

Also, it's sort of a reference to Season 3 after Lyoko was destroyed if you just say GinoLyoko.

It'd be like Gee-No-Lyoko.

Lets see. I had Virtualized STI due to Subaru's STI rally bred car. I have always thought that it would make an awesome vehicle on Lyoko, hence the Virtualized part.

Highway Runner: Well, I used to ride with friends, and my brother, so they started calling me The Highway Runner. I just dropped The, and used Highway Runner.
