It sure looks awesome to me. I mean, come on- freaking awesome looking monsters, Chibi Lyoko Warriors...the graphics are really coolish. though...could this mean Chibi William? *brick'd*

I've yet to play the first DS game, though, so I don't know what to expect from gameplay. ^^;

Chibi on the world map?
Now the foreheads are even larger compared to the bodies!

But yeah, It'll be interesting to see what they can do with an ATB RPG engine. I always felt Lyoko was an action game waiting to happen, but honestly the last two were... meh. The Game Factory's fault? Dunno. This'll prove it either way with relative quality.

Now let's just hope TGF can write at least a semi-decent story for this one, because RPG's live and die on that, and honestly, this hasn't exactly been the high point of previous titles.

Looks interesting, but I'm doubting whether or not it'll be any better than the first.

True. But we'll be there to support it. I just hope it's harder than the first. It was too easy...

So it's just like Final Fantasy and Pokemon.

I like the graphics! It looks way better than the first one.
Multiplayer too?!

Yes!

The only suckiest thing is that it looks like a DS version of Quest For Infinity..

Its looks pretty cool but the head looks weird, but anywise, I can't wait for it to come out. Its manly the Code Lyoko Wii game but in to a Nintendo Ds.

SECOND FIRST! SAME AS THE FIRST BUT A LITTLE BIT LOUDER AND A LITTLE BIT WORSE! My neighbor works in game programing. He said that his boss got to try a small sample of the game and that it was ok. I'm hoping for a better than 'ok' kinda game. I hope it's not that bad.

I can't see the links now cos I'm at school and it's lunch break and I'm too lazy to click... but.

What I'm really concerned about isn't the graphics or the music or the story. It's... RPG style, if I'm reading you guys right? :< Will it be turnbased or real time? Don't get me wrong, I love CL, but if this thing is turnbased I'm not going to even bother. My patience cannot stand turn based D:

Actually what am I worrying about I don't think there should be a reason for them to change the battle system from the last two games but YOU NEVER KNOW ;o

Why cant a Code Lyoko get a game that actually is based on Code Lyoko and its story line.
No more added bosses and god, NO MORE VOLCANO SECTOR.
A game that isnt short as "H-E-Double Hockeysticks" would be nice.

lani:
No, it's actually turn based. Looks to be ATB-ish which is cool. (Active Time Battle, the little count up until next attack meter that most RPG's have now, instead of static 'cycle through each character based on speed' system.) I feel sorry if you've never played anything to make this system seem, at least in theory, worthwhile. Maybe go find a copy of SNES classic Chrono Trigger for a prime example.

ginolyoko12:
Didn't the first game esentially mirror a condensed seasons one through three? To be honest, playing the whole show through would be pretty boring. You'd be compelled to put it down for a while after a long stretch or at whatever filler episode you happened to dislike. One flowing narrative just works better for a game, even if it involves chopping up the content of the show. That said, Game Factory didn't do an awesome job of that, really. At least, they didn't hit the highlights I might have.

Not having played the Wii game, I don't know what I think about the volcano sector idea, but it doesn't offend my sensibilities too much. I mean, I know it didn't happen in the show, but it totally seems like something 'evil for the sake of evil' enemy XANA would do if he could.

As for length, well, realise almost all video game titles based on shows come out bad. Lyoko seems like it would have translated well, but like all little third party developers looking for the quick buck, Game Factory built a pretty samey engine, some uninspired levels, and made the plot 'serviceable.' As long as people don't feel completely ripped off, they're buying it for the show before game quality, and they can get away with it being short. Again, that said, I hope they realise plot has to be more than 'serviceable' for an RPG, and attempt to add some actual length to the game that doesn't involve pointless grinding or other traditional RPG timesinks.

I think this will be a success like the first game. Though I do hope the real world sequences are better than the first game because the game world was at one angle while the minimap was at another, so it was hard to navigate. Plus there is no way to game over when there is a XANA attack, no timer to get to Lyoko before XANA's attack successes or, like with possessed rats, if you don't outrun them, they jump on the group and get a short non-gory movie, then a game over screen.

Though I don't think they will have it, but I wish you could actually fight in the real world. Like in the screenshots of this game, you have your party and you do battle in virtual forms on Lyoko and Replikas. So it wouldn't be that hard to make it where you have your party in their normal clothes fighting possessed animals or something. Plus you can always escape from a fight since you are not in Lyoko where you can't.

What I mean by not hard
- 4 more character models (Ulrich,Yumi,Aelita, and Odd)
- 5 more battle locales (Park, Campus, Lunchroom,Classroom, and Dorm room)
- ? more monster models (How many possessed things you want).

The Asset and Artist teams are already working on the assets, so a few more is not that difficult. Plus you already have the code for the combat system written, so it is strictly just plugging in the new assets and there...it works!

Anyway, this game should be a winner. That's my point.
Fictional Conversation after the Episode "Routine:

Ulrich - "You couldn't wait, could you?"
Jeremy - "What are you talking about?"
*Ulrich grabs and lifts Jeremy by his collar.
Ulrich - "I was this close to tasting her porcelain lips. We weren't in any danger, but noooo! You had to return to the past anyway!"
*Jeremy sniffles as Aelita appears on screen and rolls her eyes
Aelita - Ulrich, put him down.
