If you could kindly take any further game planning to the PMs or a group chat window or something (where it should be discussed), that'd be great. Thanks.

Do we really gotta Mew? Is it going to kill the integrity of the forum if we use the smash bros. thread to set up games online? Honestly?

Don't get condescending with me.
I asked nicely.
Now kindly either take it to PMs or I lock the thread for spam and start an actual Brawl thread as opposed to allowing this one to stay open and merely splitting it into two threads.

Yanno, if you want to argue with one of the people running the board, go ahead.
Still, you both should ask yourself if this is really that important.
Beyond Birthday/PepsiPiper, Does it really have any effect on the universe if we create a thread where the first post has our friend codes? now, the PM idea is a rotten way to set matches up if there are more than two people who want to join, so I'm not even gonna try playing te Devil's Advocate on that idea. Still, will pressing that little button above the topics waste too much energy? I doubt it.
Now, I'm gonna step in it and give slightly Fanboyish constructive criticism to an admin. Last Rites plz?
Mewberries, BB has a point. Why don't you or some other mod/admin split or change the name of this thread? As I said, PMs dun work so well when you have more than 2 people. Groupchat is out jus' because we are all on at different time zones. Additionally, this is history to us now. We wanna preserve it.
Is there a compromise we can make here?
SEES wrote:Is it possible just to make a thread that's simply devoted to the LF Brawl Community? The first post would have everyone's friend's codes who wishes to share them while the thread can be used to both acquire new members and set up matches. Granted the discussion of this thread lends itself to a chat format than other topics. I will say that there are many respected respectable forms out there (such as the voiceacting alliance and the online smash bros community) that use a similar format for organizing form-wide events.
Really I think the main issue is is not the brawl discussion/match set ups its more like we're having brawl discussions in a melee thread.
I believe Mew's argument that we weren't to have a thread for setting up matches, and wanting us to use PMs, and my humble opinion reflects yours. And I have you know, more often then not I don't go against administrators for the sole purpose that "whoever owns the board makes the rules", but at this point LF isn't a forum: it's a group of friends of sorts, so I fail to see the point in such strict enforcement of the rules.
Regardless, in the grand scheme of things no JF it's not the end of the world. However, it was and still is a perfectly fine way of doing things, I don't see any reason to stop aside from Mew's seeing an opportunity to enforce the rules just for the hell of it. Thus why she said I had a condescending attitude, rather than answering my initial question, I theorize. (Edited for clarity: I changed nothing else)

And I asked honestly, Ms. Powertrip, and yes I am willing to risk suspension to argue this. We're in a general discussion forum on a fansite whos orignal creator dumped in years ago for a TV show we all loved but it died, R.I.P. months ago. We're never going to get new members, in fact I think the only reason any of us remain is the sense of community we have. I state again is it really going to kill the forum if we bend a few rules? hmmm? Or is this just a case of you having authority and using it?
Our ciggerates, Nurse Ratchet. *OUR* Ciggerates.
