Yes please do. I couldn't come up with any. And I thought we said earlier that Odd was shaggy. Somebody needs to make a fanfic about that. Have the gang trade laces with the CL warriors.

I know this is probably a little off-topic, but here's something to think about: When Aelita was reformated in "Just In Time," she was cloned from a piece of her hair. Is it possible for a clone to have memories, (season two), and Is Aelita Technically a clone?

Ah. We have come across one of the greatest moral debates of our time: the debate of cloning. We could argue for 30 pages and still not have a clear answer.

To look at it technically, Aelita is a clone. Her first digital form was destroyed and then reformed with her digital genetic code. Somehow, her memories all remained intact. As she was in a computer at the time, we can assume they were in a backup of some sort.

However, until Franz Hopper returned the memories of her life on Earth at the end of Season 2, Aelita was more of an AI than a person. She was fully "complete" from then on, and had all her memories, so she can be considered the same Aelita. However, there are some people who believe that wouldn't make her the same Aelita. It depends on which theory you subscribe to.

Yeah i always wondered about this. Some one on tech links suggested that she was killed when she shut off the tower. But the hair was able to revive her since she was still inside the supercomputer. Kinda like what happend to yumi the first time the had the materialzation program. Only without the hair. So in technical terms its really up in the air. I wanna say she's a clone, but then again, something similar happend to hopper and yumi and they were still alive. I think maybe when she shut down the tower she reverted into a form similar to hopper at the end of season 4. the hair just gave her a new body.

My head hurts now.
been thier, destroyed that, saved them,

She was originally SUPPOSED to be a virtual being and not a real human.

That's true, Taelia. However, on my computer in 2004, before Season 2, I wrote a story about what if Aelita was once human. Seriously. However, it was deleted, but I can tell you why I disown it now: Aelita's last name in the story was Pinesmith, because this was Season 1.

And I spelt everybody's name wrong. And Jeremy broke his ankle from falling off of Aelita's balcony. And Aelita wore a G-string.

In one fanfiction in 2005, Aelita was christened Aelita Hopper...and that was way before the final two episodes aired. I'm in the process of rewriting that fanfiction, because I remember it more.

Now on to Ulrich Stern:

What's with his grades? I think he's smart, but I think his parents are pushing him waaaaay too hard. Especially his fajah/father.

He reminds me of Andrew Clark from The Breakfast Club.

Andrew is the film's athlete, in detention for beating a fellow student and taping his buttocks together. Andrew, like Claire, is ashamed of being in detention and is used to the better end of social life at school. Andrew hates his father for pushing him so hard to succeed and even wants his bum knee to give so his father could not drive him to be the best athlete.

Both are athletic, and both are pushed too hard by people.

Summarizing:

Name, Archetype, Pluses, Minuses:

Jeremy, Nerd, Brains; Athletics, Artistic Skills and Social Skills
Aelita, Innocent Girl, Brains and Artistic Skills, Athletics and Social Skills
Ulrich, Popular Guy, Athletics and Social Skills, Artistic Skills and Brains
Odd, The Artist, Artistic Skills and Social Skills, Athletics and Brains
Yumi, The Goth, Brains, Athletics and Social Skills; Athletics

This is as far as I will go. Because if I were to explain my reasoning to you, it will probably take half of a full forum page due to details. Thank you.

Ulrich - "I was this close to tasting her porcelain lips. We weren't in any danger, but noooo! You had to return to the past anyway!"
*Jeremy sniffles as Aelita appears on screen and rolls her eyes

my questions

Postby seb » Sun May 18, 2008 3:44 pm

At the risk of these questions sounding weird.

1. Who's legs do you think look hotter in a swimsuit? Yumi, Aelita or Sissi?

2. Which of the boys do you think has abs that can "cut coal into diamonds"? Ulrich, Odd, Jeremy or William?

3. On number one's note, do you think Sissi's swimsuit is a bit revealing?

Sissi essentially wears a bikini. All her clothes are what she thinks is fashionable.

1. Ulrich.

2. Aelita~! (She'll ALWAYS have a good body.) <3

3. Like Taliea says, it's fashionable.

1. Yumi because she is the hard-to-get type and therefore, wearing the swimsuit she did in Episode 36 is more appealing. She's not my type, I personally prefer Aelita, but her legs are shorter than Yumi's, so there is less to show.

2. Ulrich, hands down. Born athlete, the most desirable male in school, yeah Hephaestus carved his body.

3. With the way she is raised, it doesn't surprise me.

Seeing as he can advance eighteen months worth of allowance, yeah.

Well...Unless the allowance is somewhere between 1 to 10 dollars. But seeing as it is in Euros, it would be of even greater value.

Regardless, he would have to be.

Why else do you all think Sissi is a spoiled, conceited brat around mostly everyone?

Exactly. His hesistation to tell Yumi his feelings sometimes makes you want to reach into the screen and shake him "Tell her, boy! Tell her!". And that's exactly what a charater should make you feel. It moves the viewer and gets you caught up in their daily lives. Kind of like a soap opera does...but less boring. The flaws are what makes him and most of the CL characters, human. Heck, even Xana, has flaws, and it's not human to begin with.

Guys, you don't know how much I'd like to contribute to this topic, but every time I get here my feelings are exactly replicated (replikated?) by your responses. I don't know if I said this before, but one of the things that makes me love CL is the fact that the characters are all so real and it's so easy to think of them as friends and real people, that you get hooked on the show even if the design initially turns you off. (which happened to me until I started watching full-time and learned to love everything about it)

Her Family is rich, and most rich girls are preppy and spoiled and go running to their Daddies to get whatever they want. Well, atleast how Media portarys them.
And Sissi just thinks she's better than everyone, and that everyone must kneel down before her "Almighty Sissi-ness-ness".

Very excellent observation. :) It can also be noted that Sissi has an absent mother, too. What became of her, we probably will never know canonically.

Yeah, they never spoke of her once during the entire series. Though they may never reveal what happened, but seeing the way Sissi acts...it probably was divorce. Because Sissi and her father would have been depressed if she died. Sissi would be angry instead of bossy if her mother was working in another part of the world.

The reason I say divorce is because she is more demanding from her father since he is the only parent she has around. Plus she can get away with all the things she does by exploiting this.

Though if it was a divorce, Sissi would be with her mother since the courts believe in daughters staying with their mothers, unless there was no custody battle or the mother was deemed incompetent.

Or maybe........
She abandoned them?
Not to sure.

Can anyone explain anything behind Nicolas' shorts? I've wondered that, like, since I was 12. D:

Since I'm no fan of Sissi, it kind of bothered me when I read that the kids had invited her to be part of their clique at the end of the series. (there's still like a million episodes I need to watch, though) I guess it's good that Sissi finally found some good friends since she was obviously so lonely all the time and didn't really care about Herb and Nicolas... but still, she caused too much trouble and I never really like it when an unpleasant antagonist gets away with it so easily. Comments?

As I recall full well from Jodi's interview in TB3'S documentary (so far), Sissi isn't a total brat.

See, now I feel left out. Am I the only one here who hasn't seen the documentary?

Anyway... where could I find it? Is it online, or do I have to rent it?

And my apologies to Sissi fans, I just sympathize more with the main kids.
