Taelia, stop it. I desperately want Obama to win, but if McCain wins I'm not going to do anything like that. It would mean I wouldn't get to spend four years outside the White House protesting angrily. You are taking this election WAY too seriously, and this is from someone who thinks this election is the most important election of the past 100 years. Take a deep breath and remember that I had to put up with EIGHT years of President Bush, you can put up with at least four of Obama.

I agree with you about this is one of the most important elections, the first black candidate that is running for this election. I think it will teach us all that we have equality. I will admit, the victory is nicely symbolic. But it is imperative to remember that the Presidency is not a symbolic job.

Still, I do hope Obama gets dealt a better hand than Bush got; while I disagree with some of his policies, I still have to deal with them.

I'm not old enough to vote, but I'm in his support because of his stances. I like him a lot; it's a really great day, because it feels like improvement is on the way.

Also, even anti-Obama instigators have to admit: The man has speaking skills. The speech he gave tonight made Bush and McCain look like children--not only in content, but delivery.
