Actually there was an article in March from Antefilms stating that Franz Hopper was the creator of lyoko. I think he's alive and trapped by XANA in the 5th region, and I think he's jeremy's dad. Although it would make more sense if he was aelita's dad....

And I hope Jetix doesn't censor it and shows CL at night, so I can watch it without worrying about classes and trying to arrive to home earlier, otherwise, for me it's watching Season 2 on vacations. Come on, Antefilms, raise the PG enough to get it to Adult Swim, so Jetix can show it at night!!

But if they put it on Adult Swim, than I won't be able to catch it...although I do have video tapes...provided I can find them. ^^;

I don't know...the "Valentines" day one is a toss up. Back in elementary and junior high, everyone in class would give a valentine to everyone else (so no one felt left out; highschool you were lucky if people even noticed it was Valentines Day because of finals). And I'm not sure what the difference in traditions is between France and the US for Valentine's Day (I know that in Japan the celebrations are rather different) So while, no doubt, there's going to be fluff abound in it...it's really a toss-up as to how much. Could just be an exchange of valentines, there could be a kiss involved...it's going to be cool whatever they choose to do with that episode.

Before I go to sleep, I have to say that at LyokoCode there's two new videos: a Code Lyoko France comercial and the Season 2 Intro. What surprised me most was some weird monster...

I like the new intro! There's no new theme song, but I do like the new theme animations. Very cool!

According to the French commercial...they'll only get new episodes every Wednesday. So it'll be a wait until we get the scoop on "Unchartered Territory" (should info appear). This makes me wonder how they'll air the new episodes here...once a week as well, or in some other form. Hmmm...

I don't know about being Aelita's father, for sure, but I do know for a fact that Franz Hooper is the creator of Lyoko. In the CL Ani-Manga, it has a small page dedicated to a short history of Lyoko, and it mentions that Lyoko was created by a Franz Hooper, who was also an old employee of Kadic's. Perhaps he used to live in that mansion while he was working for Kadic and on Lyoko? ^^

I think that's another example of AltaVista's translational errors. The French have only one word really for "undress/take off" and it can be used in any context and to any degree (from simply removing a jacket, or to extensive undressing)...anyway, AltaVista will give you only one translation, not all of them.

That's likely as much as we'll see in season 2 (just them without shirts). AnteFilms seems to like to push their ratings, but probably not overstep them. ^^

I would assume that they then start talking about Yumi/William and how Ulrich is mad...And I suppose Yumi would admit that she just went out with him to make Ulrich jealous. So by the end of the attack, they've made up and um...They go out...

That is not Aelita...It just can't be.

You know, I've been studying pictures of Aelita materialized from Season 1 and the ones from season 2 and I think I might have figured out why everyone thinks she looks so different (apart from the outfit).

The first is because she no longer has the green eye color she did in "False Start". Her pupils are now black like everyone elses (although she still has the green eye color in Lyoko). This is a logical change in character design since she will now be in 2D form alot more often. Keeping her eyes green for season 2 would have meant coloring in her eyes for every cel of her animated scenes in every season 2 episode (she was only materialized for two in season 1), and that would take alot of needless time and money. So that was a logical change.

The second reason is that they changed the shape of her face a little. She now resembles Taelia in facial shape even more closely than she did before (which might explain why Taelia won't reappear). I think these (along with the outfit change) are the two foremost reasons that she looks exceedingly different to us...although personally, I don't mind the way she looks. It's not all that different, really...

Yes and no. Yumi doesn't have to be there for Aelita to use the OverWing, but they do use the same Lyoko vehicle. This does make a slight bit of sense since it meant studio-wise that the animators didn't have to design a whole other vehicle for her, and then animate it (more time and money); and show-wise...it's a little safer for her, since if she occasionally shares it with Yumi and they get attacked, Aelita can drive the vehicle and Yumi can defend them and keep them from getting shot. It would have been cool Aelita to have her own vehicle though...

You're close. After looking at both translations of the synopsis, Yumi isn't going out with William, but they are doing an assigned project together, which bothers Ulrich a little bit since he wanted to partner with Yumi...and he has jealousy issues. ^^ But they're not going out, they're just working together on a school project.

You've pretty much nailed it there. They do that to avoid heatstroke and they sit back-to-back to be courteous and avoid embarrassment (I'm not sure if it's also because Ulrich is angry with her, since Yumi wasn't actually dating William as you suggested). But yes, they do actually discuss William. Ulrich asks about him and Yumi tells him that William is "just a friend". She then passes out and the RTTP occurs.

Afterwards, according to the summary, Odd redeems himself of his crime in "Claustrophobia" by helping to pair Yumi and Ulrich as partners with himself as William's partner for the project. End episode.

Anyway, IMO, I'm really pleased more or less with the second season. A few sacrifices had to be made, but I think this season is really trying to do its best to be as enjoyable and timeless as the first season, which is no easy task. I can't wait for the 19th!

On CL and season 2, CL's now playing twice a day, 6-7 PM EST on CN every weekday (they're really trying to get through season 1 in time).

Also, I checked the CN schedule, and apparently they're playing "New Order" on the 19th at 6:00 PM EST and then continuing Tuesday, same time, with "Unchartered Territory". So we might even get a full week of new episodes, instead of just once a week, like in France! I'm really excited about this!

I saw the new promo too, and it looks like there's not one, not two, but at least three new monsters. And one of them makes me think of a Jellyfish... If I can find a picture of it, I'll post it. It really was something!
