Things That Just Stop You In Your Tracks.

Also known as weaknesses, distractions, and anything that can just throw your everyday <s>idiot</s> person into a daze.

So, earlier I was talking to my friend about art and whatnot, we were chatting about methods we use to better our skills, and somehow I got to mentioning how I people watch to better my anatomy. I love, love, love people watching, especially when I'm sitting with something remotely close to a pencil and paper—I can scribble down notes, drawings, and just see how different people are, moreso when I'm sitting in a city.

My summer in Chicago, despite it was boring as [insert dirty word here] really helped to improve my drawing skills—thank whatever for diversity. D ;

I've always been discrete with my people-watching, though, it's sort of turned into an art. But sometimes, sometimes I just end up seeing someone that so utterly incredibly that I just openly stare.

Discreetly, of course, ha-ha.

Anyway, if I have one weakness, it's beautiful women.

Actually, it's just beautiful people, or interesting people. When I see someone that just shines with, I dunno, incredible-ness, I just have to look at them! Curiosity takes me over and just have to make sure I square away every little detail.

It's incredible, yo.

People are so awesome… until they open their mouths.

: /

So, one of my weaknesses—one of the things that distracts me—is… er… “interesting peopleâ€

I could give you a sizable list of things that distract me but I'm not sure if it would be OK for me to do it in open forum. >.>

Man.

Man.

I friggin' love you, that made me laugh harder than it should've.

Ha-ha, I don't think most of the things that distract me could really be put on an open fourm myself. But~

There's nothing that distracts you that's, er, “open forum safeâ€

Frilly aprons? I think not. I don't do frilly; I like to think that I have at least a few shreds of masculinity left.

Hmmmm. Let's see here. I get distracted my mirrors. I must be some kind of subconscious narcissist because when I see mirrors I tend to stare at my reflection in them. I don't know why, but I just do.

Oh you xD And on a totally offtopic note, I just came up with a name for you- The Artist Formerly Known As Fo'-Darling! See? Now Asa's wish is granted.

As I demonstrated up there, one of my big weaknesses is things that I think are good ideas. If I get an idea that consumes me, I absolutely cannot do anything else until I act on that idea. Usually these ideas are whims. I will get emotional attachments to them and be very sad when they do not work.

And like Asa I am also cripplingly distracted by the presence of paper and writing implements. My mind can turn a nice, neat page of Physics notes into a few pose doodles, imagined quotes, and plot figuring-outings in about a half-hour. AND BABIES. Babies are amazing. As are kittens. Oh, and squirrels. I love watching squirrels.

I'm also distracted by things that just randomly catch my attention, and I have to point them out to people. I once silenced my Physics class for about three seconds by pointing out a stinkbug.

And I also will not make any attempts to hide staring at people I find interesting or sexy business. Mostly because I'm pretty bad at it, but slightly because I have a nagging suspicion that they can't see me.

Edit: Oh, and clothing racks! I'm a closet costume/clothing nut, so if I see a pretty outfit in the mall or something I can lose myself looking at them. Of course when I try it on, the magic goes away.

That's a good way of putting my number one source of distraction that I was worried about mentioning earlier. I get very distracted by things that are sexy business. I am a teenage male, after all.

AFKA!Fo'-Darling for short?

lol AFF-KAH.

Man, that's how I am with ideas and especially notes—I've had so much homework/notes that has been doodled up to high hell, ha-ha. Somehow my teachers don't get mad at me though, mostly because they'll relate to the notes or some crap. I also outlines stories and little details I want to add to some drawing later on. Man, I should look through last year's notes, I probably have a bunch of crap I forgot about.

You know what I hate? Some of the best ideas come at the worst times. Like during a test, or during a time where you don't have anywhere to jot it down. ;_;

And song lyrics, I always deck paper out in song lyrics when I'm bored—random crap galore!

You barely see squirrels in Washington! We have chipmunks though, and when I went to the rain forest reserve I saw a black squirrel for the first time. Baby-anything in general is cute… unless it's some sort of creepy insect, then it's not so cute.

lolsexybusiness. ilu.

You know what, pigeons. Those things are awesome to watch, 'cause they head-bob like no one's business.

AFF-KAH! Aff-kah, that is totally your name from now on.

My creativity doesn't extend to song lyrics. I'm sorry, I love to listen to music, but I have no sense of rhythm or musical talent at all. This saddens me, because as far as listening goes, I love music.

Washington? Does this mean Washington the state or Washington D.C.? Because if it's the latter, asdasd you live near meeeeeeeee.

Pidgeons are AWESOME. And I don't even know why. I guess it's the same reason penguins are awesome. They just ARE.

Sexy business is sexy business. I want people to say that. That's another idea.

Washington State. ;__;

D'aw, now I'm sad.

It's because they're birds, uh-huh. Bird automatically just equals awesome, especially when they can't fly.

Carth is sexy business? Yes? 8D

Is okay. I can be with you in spirit! Every time you look at alcohol, I will see you.

Birds and pigeons automatically give me an excuse to make a plug for this. It is a story about pigeons. It is an interlude story for a comic which is even more better than a city fairy. You must read this, and then go back to the beginning of the comic itself and read that.

No, no no no. Not physically.

And to keep this post on topic? Um...well...I was so distracted by the idea of replying to Asa I forgot to make the post on topic! And another thing that distracts me is pregnant women. I don't know why. They look...weird.

Denizens of Lyokofreak, if any of you start calling SilverPrince Aff-kah, you will incur my wrath and very likely your death.

(Oh, LYOKOFREAK! Lyokofreak's a huge distraction for me. I spend more class time on it than I do actually paying attention in class.)

Consider yourself lucky, I know people that have worst.

Like my friend Greg, his last name is Morhead. Not only do we refer to him as a “scaley-man-fishâ€

Fine, call me Fo'-darling, as long as you don't call me that other name. Apparently name arguments distract me.

And the Internet in general is a big distraction for me.
