Phineas and Ferb

Postby Tangent128 » Sun Nov 08, 2009 2:21 am

So... I haven't really asked anybody here if they've seen this show.

Best thing on Disney Channel since Kim Possible. (I probably like it a little better, in fact.)

Premise:

There's 104 days of summer vacation,
then school comes along just to end it.
So the annual problem for our generation,
Is finding a good way to spend it.
Like maybe ...
Building a rocket,
or fighting a mummy,
or climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Discovering something that doesn't exist,
or giving a monkey a shower.
Surfing tidal waves,
Creating nanobots,
Or locating Frankenstein's brain.
Finding a dodo bird,
Painting a continent,
Or driving our sister insane.

As you can see,
There's a whole lot of stuff to do before school starts this fall.
So stick with us,
Cause Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all!

...Sorry... ^_^;

The series has very catchy music, and an original song in every episode.

And a secret agent platypus, and a mad scientist living on alimony, and a Girl Scout troop whose manuals covers space navigation and time travel, and....
(yeah, the cool links in my old sig died. :( A few nerdy newish projects are here. )

A hundred and EIGHT days, sir.

Then again, President Obama wants to extend the school year so grade-school teachers can make up more songs singing his praises, but that's a tirade best reserved for the Peace Prize topic.

Not really a Disney Channel fan myself, but P&F has saved my life on several occasions at family reunions. It's episodic, formulaic eye candy, has a wholesome humor quotient that's surprisingly rare on the Disney Channel these days thanks to its repackaging as a teen starlet farm, and (most importantly) keeps five-year-old cousins from getting grubby with my portable gaming systems.
My SN is spelled Feld, not Field. Keep getting it right, Carth.

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporateeeeeeeed!

I like that show a lot. I mean, yeah, it's intended for a younger demographic, but technically, so is Code Lyoko.
I really gotta fix up this theme

I don't know if it's still being made, but if it is, it's the best American cartoon being made right now. End of story. Goodnight.

If not the only one. How much of CN's current-year stock is live-action/Canadian again?

@Carth: Third season being produced for next year, in fact. (Plus 3 or 4 eps haven't aired yet.)

And there's a Christmas special this year... Here's a taste. :D

There's a set amount of days for summer vacation? ^^;;;

Anyway, if you're looking for a true earworm...look no further than the Cliptastic Countdown:

Oh no! It's stuck in their heads! We need something even more catchy to counteract it! :nyeh!:

♫Gitchie Gitchie Goo, means that I love you!♫

No surprise that that song is what made the executives ask for the song-an-episode policy.
