That would make sense, considering a) the show's not on anymore and b) Italy's only gotten the first season. Of course they'd want to explain everything. But not quite everything of course.

On another note, BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS BOOKS! 83 At what rate do you guys expect to be doing this? Are you going to release it in chapters or all at once? Asdasdasdasdasdasdasdasd

And an e-mail in Italian chatspeak? (SMS language = chatspeak) Ohgod. That sounds both hillarious and terrifying translation-wise.

Thats the correct address

And yes Aqua, if you're willing too, can you share the text with me so that I can have a try at an English translation

Many thanks :)

Aqua, you are now the envy of my eye.

I am contemplating ordering them just for the sake of having them (though it would be years before I could read them.)

I've seen French chatspeak before. Like "3" for "toi", one of the French words for "you".

No me gusta chatspeak.

Okay.. adding a fourth language into this will NOT help.

Aqua, if you could send me a transcript of the French text, I could probably translate a bit of it. Probably wouldn't do a good job at it, but maybe I could help with it.
I really gotta fix up this theme

Just as a curiosity, how goes translating, both French and English?

Are you doing stuff, or is it hiatus over here?

I'd like to second SL's sentiments- is there any more news on this project? Have you guys gotten your hands on the books?

On another note, the third should be due out in a few months...

I'm actually planning something, kind of a news announcement for CodeLyokoFans... so I'm probably going to be heckling these two for details in what they're doing.

Yeah.

But the announcement is for non-Lyokofreak-fans.

Though when I mean heckle, I mean just post something here asking them to give us an update, how they plan to do this, etc.

I'm sure they'll post when they have an update. ^^; TB3, in particular, is very good about keeping us up to date on the progress of his projects. There's really no need to post asking for updates. They'll be made when there are some to report. *nods*

Thanks Mew, but you're being too kind on me

At this point I've got nothing to say - I'm waiting for Aqua to finish reading the books, at which point we'll work out a plan of action together

Hello !

I just finish to read the second book, and yes, I currently transcribe the first one. But it's a very very long work...
I have to find another way to transcribe faster... (like use a scanner to extract text?)

But if you want, I can send you soon the 4 first chapters (just TB3 for the moment :p).
I hope you can obtain the book in your hands soon, i can have done some mistakes on my copy. :/

If it interests you, I posted some scan of the books, like the covers, on the thread (here).

I didn't speak about this on cl.fr forum, but when i will finish to translate properly the 3 or 4 first chapters, i want to email Moonscoop to try to make them react. It's very strange for a french series (with strong American support ^^) to... stay in Italian, i want some explanations, know if an official translation is in running, and prove that the fans are already here. I hope i will receive a answer...

See you soon!

I think there is some program to extract text on a scanner...I wouldn't have any idea what it is, however. I wish you luck, though! You're doing the fandom a great service. For that you deserve every kitten I can give you.

Also, as I was looking through that thread, I see you didn't mention the stuff under the spoiler tabs...

- etc

To translate: (tinified for non-spoilermonkeys)

Mrs. Hertz seems to hold secrets = I KNEW IT!
The Della Robbias got problems= Even with just Odd this would be intriguing, but plural?
Kiwi too= ._______.
Tricks that will move between Ulrich and Yumi = :3
XANA's angry = Well certainly
A new friend = Is this Eva Skinner?

I'd take a look through the contents of the boxes as well, but I happen to be in class right now. Perhaps during my free. 8D; *still excited*

EDIT: Okay, I'm looking through the boxes. Again, I tinifyed the text. I'm showing the pictures because they're fairly nonsense without the text.

(No image for 13-18)

Image
(Actually 19-21)

1: Flashlight. "Essential in the basements of an abandoned factory."
2: Supercomputer Mouse. "This is the supercomputer's mouse. I took it when we turned it off." (Who? Is this Jeremie narrating the contents? And I never saw the computer with any mouse at all)
3: Camcorder. "With this camera, we have rebuilt your memories, Aelita."
4: VHS Tape. "The last document left by Prof. Franz Hopper to explain the mysteries of Lyoko." (TEMPTATION.)
5: Hot Chocolate. "A softness to fight the cold." (That's...poetic, almost.)
6: Clothespin. "Fundamental to support the sewers. Never forget!!!" (er?)
7: Multi-function Pocketknife. "My essential knife, faithful companion of a thousand adventures." (Seriously, who is this?)
8: Train Ticket. "The voyage which revealed new secrets about the Hermitage." (Stop being vague, person that may or may not be Jeremie!)
9: Horror Film: "Odd's favorite movie. I wonder why it's here. Amusing..." (Boxman, you're just fooling with us now.)
10: Code L33tet. "A programmer's data-processing trick to remember more complicated passwords. Done through the replacement of letters and figures."
11: Notebook. "We found this in the attic of the Hermitage. It belonged to Prof. Hopper. Appearances can be misleading!" (Seriously. Who are you?)
12: Digital CD- Luv Luv Panka. "This individual is the group of the century." (Another one? Though this might be the Subdigitals; the band name is covered)

Again, I have to go to class; I'll finish this list later.

Also, Aqua, your avatar on CL.fr is gorgeous. Are you by any chance an OddxAelita fan?

Another Edit: "Dracula Against/Prisoner of Frankenstein", or "Drácula contra Frankenstein" in the original Spanish, is a real movie. According to reviews, it's "Z-grade fun" and "cheesier than Ed Wood". Huh.

YES, THEY DO. SEASON 5, PLZ. And I'm a little scared about that as well. And not secrets so much as problems. Hertzy is the one with seekrits.

Here's the rest of the boxitems.

13: B1F Sacks of Lime. "These lime bags were found in the basement of the Hermitage. They made us go back to the Broulet brothers." (WHAT? Who? I smell something big cooking...)
14: Circuits. "The factory was full of indecipherable diagrams. Could they relate to the supercomputer?"
15: Monsters of Lyoko. "Beyond the console, I show you (?) the beings which populated Lyoko."
16: Calling Card. "Prof. Hopper's calling card. We didn't find much more about him." (What's a calling card? And you found plenty!)
17: The Black Cat. "I did not think that Odd could tell stories this well. This book has a splendid air. I must read it." (I need to read it too. And get a picture of it!)
18: Iron Bridge. "The bridge to the old factory. You can't have forgotten this, Aelita..." (This almost makes me think...did Jeremie not marry Aelita?)
19 (23): Bonche (?) of the Sewer. "After a long malodrous course, finally, fresh air...but the surprises are not finished yet."
20 (22): The Hermitage. "The base camp of our investigations. Prof. Hopper's house is a maze of secret ways."
21: Pendentive (?). "This is your pendentive, Aelita. The same one as your father and mother. Seek Anthèa..." (WHAT?)

In short, ohhotdamnthisismyjam.

On the cover to the second novel, I recognize that staircase as the stairs in the hermitage... i am pretty certain anyway.

There is always strange things about Kiwi. Kiwi could tell when the glass was shattering in the school. Kiwi could also tell when Ulrich was there even when he was invisible. It is very likely that Kiwi could also be able to sense other things.

You could try using SimpleOCR ( http://www.simpleocr.com/ ) to read the text. (I don't know if accents will work or not, though.)

Yeah. Awesomeness. I read somewhere that the novels were coming out in early 2010... but that's probably already been said already, so, ignore me.

As much as that'd make a great secret, Kiwi's definitely not a girl. His male equipment is...fairly obvious.

I don't know whose pocket knife that'd be. Both William and Yumi have one...

Two of the novels are already out; the third's due in a few months. IMEXCITED
