More season 2 info...

I'm wondering how much of a difference this supposedly larger budget will make. If you recall, there were numerous and obvious mistakes in every single episode of season 1. I've never been quite sure if it was a lack of money, a lack of experience, or a lack of care for something that may not succeed.

However seeing its success, I assume the entire team was much more careful in the creation this go-round. Which should be good for viewers like me who enjoy an actual challenge in finding an error rather than just looking at the screen and thinking, "Hey... they spelled 'Teddygodzilla' wrong..."

In the brief glimpses we've been given, in pictures that aren't blurred by a motion effect, the whole animation, 3d and otherwise, seems a bit more... advanced? It just seems to have more of a feeling of professionalism now, contrary to season 1 where I'd cringe at a scene like the voice switch in <u>Just in Time</u> and wonder how on earth all the people involved in its creation could actually miss a mistake like that.

You know what else is cool? We'll catch up to France's airing since CN is airing the new episodes every weekday. (It's on my TV schedule)

Yeah!!! It's incredible. I had no idea they'd actually let us catch up and pass them, episode-wise. It feels a little unfair, in a way, but a tiny piece of me is really happy we get instant gratification as with season 1. I can't believe it'll happen in less than four days!

*laughs* Ah yes, the infamous Yumi/Ulrich JIT voice-switch. That's probablt the biggest error in the series. I'm still convinced though that "TeddyGozilla" was released with that spelling intentionally. "Godzilla" is a trademarked name, so perhaps AnteFilms had not yet gotten permission to use it in their episode title, and so removed the "d" in order to meet their deadlines. We may never know for sure, but that could be a possible reason.

They re-translated that episode's title, much like how they did "Just In Time". "Girl of the Dreams" French title was "Creature de Reves", which means, quite literally "Thing of Dreams". I'm supposing the translators didn't like the idea of having Aelita/Taelia referred to as a "thing", although I'm pretty sure the "thing" in it's original context would have been that it was a "thing" of Jeremie's dreams to have Aelita on earth...not that Aelita was the thing in question. Just her presence...but I'm going off-track. Either way, "The Girl of the Dreams" is due to bad translating on our side. It wasn't like that in the original French version.

I believe that may be the winner of the "Lyoko Yourself" contest, CL.com has awhile back. I believe the winner's name was Michael Cheng...which sounds a bit like an Asian or eastern name. So that's possibly who it could be. They did say the winner would be put in a season 2 CL episode. If that's him, cool!

I guess for LAtinAmerica, we get the translation from English but still translators suck for their job. But somehow, they try to make the title fit to make people understand. There's definately something behind translation.

Cheng is a chinese last name. I studied at a Chinese school, so I've seen last names like that before. IIRC, the kid had black hair and had a chinese look. If so, then that's him. It fits. That lucky b*st*ard...

The French use the term "kiss" very lightly (as do the Japanese, I believe). "Kiss" can also refer to a slight touch or brush with something as well.
