Who will the 6th member be?

There were a couple hints in this episode (I thought, at least) for both Hiroki (why else is he there, anyway) and William (although he already knows everything, but doesn't believe it.) Personally, I'm going with William. Hate him all you want, but I think he would be valuable.

Well, I most certainly think it will by Sissi or William. It would be awesome to have Sissi as the next member, and she's already proven that she can handle it.

But for overall drama, William would be the more opportune choice. Because as much friction as Sissi causes for Yumi and Ulrich (and those two are the main source of drama right now...), Yumi has gotten so used to it that she simply brushes Sissi off. In fact, I personally think that Yumi and Sissi would be good friends if it wasn't for the love-triangle. Ulrich however has not mastered the ability of ignoring William, and I can see how that would put a major kink in group dynamics. Especially after "A Bad Turn," despite the fact that things seemed better between them at the end. I still have the image in my mind of Ulrich shouting at William to stay away from the group.

Yes, as I said. However, how long do you think that will last? Only until William makes another move on Yumi, I'm sure. And I can't be the best judge because I missed the first 6 minutes of yesterday's episode, but it almost seems logical that Ulrich would agree to go go-carting with William simply to avoid the fight that got them into detention the first time. Now, having him in the group would mean Ulrich would have even more contact with William, which could increase the chance of an all-out, no holds barred war breaking out.

And no one said that Odd and Sissi would have to be automatically paired up, dear. Odd honestly doesn't seem to like her much, whereas Ulrich seems like he would get along with her if she wasn't hitting on him all of the time. Odd is downright mean sometimes, so I doubt a relationship would develop there.

I think that the current team of 5 members is fine. Any more and it will start to get crowded. It’s most likely that the average size of hero teams on TV range from 4 to 5. Let’s think it over:

Gundam Wing had 5 pilots
Most the Power Ranger shows had 5 Rangers
The Famous five had…5

Unless they give the characters personality transplants or do some major character development, I can't see O/S happening. Simply because they are the only single pair of a group doesn't mean they absolutely have to be together; the concept of that is rather narrow-minded and doesn't always apply. Simply because two people are single (and you can debate that with Odd because he seems to be dating every girl in the school this year) does not necessarily mean they will end up together.

True. I voted for Sissi. She could be not only useful at Lyoko, but also at the real world. Having a girl with power at school and making her your friend might come in handy.

Somebody mentioned a Team B once. I scoffed at the idea. But a variation of it would be cool: Team Earth, led by Ulrich, and including Sissy and Nicholas on a regular basis, Herb as needed (when he can be convinced to work with them) and *maybe* William. They would be told as much as they need to know about XANA and his attacks. but would not know the full story (except for Ulrich, who already knows...)

This would leave a void to be filled on Team Lyoko, though... Jim, maybe, as a sumo wrestler? Or maybe as GI Jim...

It's too late in the series. My guess is that on the last two episodes or so they might have William and Sissi go to Lyoko while Yumi and Ulrich fight in reality, then they come back to Lyoko for one last crazy hurrah against a RTTP supercharged XANA.

But how will Sissi fight? Throwing makeup kits?

Honestly, I think the number is fine where it is...and now that I think of it, there have been at least two instances that hint at a seemingly nonexistent love triangle (J - A - O)...

But, seriously, 5 is enough...William's really just a pain and would probably want to rule the group itself (?)...and Sissy'd only be interested in Ulrich. So...

I dunno, but if it HAD to be someone...^^ I'd rather like it if XANA coded a "human" version of himself as a temporary member and was able to gain incredibly useful information about them. o.O;;
