Ok, time to put my love of music to work, so I made a music chat thread, cause it said go nuts, so here we go...hopefully we will find some hidden talets here at LF.

I'm a Bass player, played for about 4 months now, gotten real good, I may not know how to do everything but I'm good. I looking into getting a sweet looking Peavey 5 string bass for about 400 bucks, it's super smooth with great power, it has two big "soapbar"pickups and it's a great size.

Umm, my question is does anyone here play any instruments, and I don't mean you played the guitar once and quit...no quiters, I want real people talking about my favorite thing on Earth, music. If you never played and your very happy to learn about music, tell me and I will teach you, I picked up things from musican's around the world...old pro's to newbie in the feild, it's my calling to be a pro and I know alot so if your reading this and always wanted to play something, I will help you out, musically

There super cool to play and so light, but I'm a bassist so I don't really mess around to much with them.

Well, I guess I'm not really welcome; I haven't played my guitar in a long time. I bought a bass earlier this year and have done just about nothing with it.

I have a few other instruments, but the ones that get the most use these days are the recorder and the tambourine, and they don't even get used that much....

P.S.: In case anyone wonders what a recorder is, it's what the music teacher was playing in "Ultimatum".

I can play the trumpet, trombone, and a bit of the drums. But I haven't played in a long, long time. I'm trying to learn the guritar though

Well it's not really an "instrument" par say as I don't need equipment to perform my musical talent as cause I'm a simplistic beatboxer. Right now I'm trying to blend in melodies into my beats (along with VERY limited vocals like what Razel does). If you want, I could post my attempts at this art but I don't think I'm that good yet.

Yep, that's what I thought, a smaller, higher-pitched version of a tuba.

BTW, the only other place I've ever seen a euphonium mentioned was in a Yamaha Musical Instruments catalogue...

I played the trumpet for years, but thanks to crappy instructers never learned my tonguing, so it always sounded like crap and so this year I quit band, as we lost all our seniors and were replaced with crappy 9th graders, it just wasn't any good...

I realize I might be what you call a quitter, but I tried for about 2 years to get over several years of crappy instruction and couldn't. If that makes me a quitter, I'm sorry, but my parents forced it to rule over my life, for something I could no longer enjoy...

I used to play Star Wars on it, but it was the worst Star Wars you ever heard. Right notes, bad pitch.

I am amazed that anyone is able to get a sound out of a brass instrument except the sound of very loud flatulence, as I did once. Then again, I have had no instruction whatsoever...

You need instruction, proper instruction. My instructors were clueless and taught me wrong so I had to finally give up and admit that after 4 years, I sucked...

I play the recorder quite well and am an alright drums player.
I can also play the violin and I'm getting guitar lessons at the mo.
