Never Ending Story

Postby YDV » Thu Nov 03, 2005 11:30 pm

Okay, this game is simple. One person simply starts out to a sentence, and the next person adds to it, and we see what happens. This is actually pretty fun, we played this at UMSD for a while. Here are the rules:

1.) All additions must be relevant to the story. (a.k.a. no randomly going "And then Ulrich got shot")

2.) You must include part of the previous section with your post. For example:

Poster 1: Odd looked up.

Poster 2: Odd looked up. "What are you looking at?" Ulrich asked.

3.) You include the entire story up until it's reasonable. Say about 10-15 lines back should be the limit before you start over again, or until it starts getting ridiculous.

4.) You should only add a reasonable amount to the story. Don't go typing out three paragraphs and then expect everyone to agree with what you put.

5.) Do NOT, under any circumstances, change anything someone's said before.

6.) No conduct that might get Erynn to lock this thread ;)

EDIT:

7.) No OC's or self-insertion.

Alright! I'll start.

Jeremie sat down at the gang's table in the cafeteria. His face was dismal, and he ate his food quietly, not commenting on anything anyone was saying.

(This is a CL Game, right? It lives, for now. I thought it was similar to Three Word Stories, though. Good idea for this, btw.)

Jeremie sat down at the gang's table in the cafeteria. His face was dismal, and he ate his food quietly, not commenting on anything anyone was saying. Suddenly Odd grabbed Jeremie's apple pie and took a bite from it. The expression on Odd's face meant that the pie wasn't something good.

"Hey, Jeremie! What'd you do, program this thing and then materialize it with a--" Odd began. Yumi quickly covered his mouth, and whispered: "Be quiet, Odd! Do you want everyone to find out about You-Know-Where?"

"What - Lyoko?" said Odd, spraying crumbs of not-pie across the table - several heads spun round at the mention of the 'L' word - specifically Jim, Sissi and William. Yumi grinned at them - "Nothing to see here folks" - and turned back to the morose Jeremie, death-glaring Odd along the way.

As Yumi was about to open her mouth, Aelita blurted out what was on all of their minds. "What's the matter, Jeremie?"

He looked up, and once his eyes set upon Aelita, his gaze fell back down. Jeremie poked at his food.

Suddenly, a kid with dirty-blond spiked hair, hazel eyes, dark blue jeans, a prominent wallet chain, a blue inside-out-looking long-sleeved shirt, a bright green vest, and a mood ring on his right hand below a name-ring saying "KEORO" walked up to that table.

"Did you just say 'Lyoko?'" he said in a low voice. "I thought I was the only one here who's been there."
"You must have the wrong Lyoko," said Aelita. "I've never seen you before."
"If you get there through the scanners in that old factory, it's the same Lyoko as I've been to," said Keoro.

Uh... I don't mean to be rude or burst your bubble or anything, but I forgot to add that Self-Insertion and adding Original Characters is against the rules. It's hard for other people to go along with, because they don't know the character's personality, background, & stuff, so they can't really write for them. It's just easier to use characters people already know. Sorry.

but Jerimie still had no Idea where he was going to take her for this special ocasion.

"Thank you for a wonderful time, Jeremie."
"No problem. I'm glad you enjoyed it."
"Jeremie?"
"Yes?"

"...Jeremie?" He looked up, realizing he had been daydreaming. "Are you okay?"
"What? Err-- yes. I'm fine," he said nervously.
