There's Something About Puck

First of all, all credit goes to 91WindRider, he found it and posted it on tv.com, sadly it got ignored.

The name Puck from "Mister Puck" has numerous mentions in different stories, like the ceature in Shakespere's "A Midsummer's Night Dream." There's also Puck, a mischeivious wood fairy from the book "Puck of Pook's Hill," by Rudyard Kipling. Currently, I'm researching to see if there is any connection between Aelita's dreams and the book, besides Puck.

Speaking of Puck... if he dies in the visions, would Aelita die as well? It's a scary thought I just have.

Well, I never knew that. But, the part of the "mischeivious wood fairy" does seem to go with what Aelita was having dreams about.

I knew that bit about Shakespeare right away- what weirded me out was how they had the umlaut (sp? those double dots over a letter) over the 'u' in Puck. In French, that would mean pronounce two vowels put together seperately... except there's only one vowel.

Right. Random rambling done.

I would *definitely* buy a Mr. Puck doll- I want an avatar of him sooo badly.

And no, I don't think Aelita would die. The dreams are just her remembering what every kid does with their dolls- making up situations and acting them out, with the vision in your head a lot more elaborate than what's actually happening. Except Aelita's imaginings might actually have some basis in fact.

Well that's the difficulty of it. And why I love this show. There are so many loose ends that are perfect for tucking in little imagined tidbits that can be used in writing.

Some people believe Aelita was once Human, and her father was Hopper.. After she was either attacked, ill, or running away from the government, Hopper placed her in Lyoko, and if you follow the Government throry, He erased Aelita's memory of everything that happened, so the government couldn't pull her out and get information. But the government was able to create the Scipizoa to take Aelita's subconcious memory in order to get that info. Unfortuantely, the program was long forgotten, and she was stranded on an island, so to speak.
