So ive been working on a design for my new CL minisite. After some thinking, I decided to try and base it of the super computer's GUI. heres what Ive got so far:

sorry. didnt realize they stretched the page so badly. I run 1152x864 here and they fit nicely. anyways, I reduced the size a bit on both so they should stay well within the pre-set width of the page.

Do you use different sized images for your website or one image that is somehow stretched by an html or php function. What I mean to ask is since different sections of your site have more or less content I wondered if you made larger or smaller "supercomputer GUI" pic for each section.

nah. its schopped into different peices and all set up in tables. for example, in the top middle section, right click that and do "view background image" (in firefox, dont know about IE). you will see its just a very tiny image. its simply repeated many times over depending on how large the whole box needs to be.

I'm trying to get the hang of html...so are the top and bottom portions of your supercomputer style window seperate tables, and then the center portion with conetent is its own table?

Alright. I did some 'slight' upgrades lately to this. Not much, but eh. You can see those changes here. At this point I am looking into possible ways I can turn this into a usable windows GUI of sorts.
