Thanks to Barbara's suggestion in her thread, I've got an idea!

Ulrich is putting on a short concert at Kadic. Everyone will be there, INCLUDING HIS MOM AND DAD! When it comes time for Ulrich to sing "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear," (he sings some other songs with ease, including a few with Odd and Yumi) his knees are knocking, his hands are trembling, and his voice shakes nervously as he is trying to sing:

Ulrich (singing, with stammering): I-i-it came u-u-upon a m-m-midnight c-c-clear...

His father then points at Ulrich and starts to derisively laugh at his own son, saying "I always knew you were a failure, Ulrich." This garners a shocked expression on Ulrich's face, as tears stream down his cheeks. He drops the mike and runs offstage.

I was liking that idea up until "His father then points." Seems Out Of Character for Ulrich's dad to do that sort of thing and WAY too petty for XANA.

It'd be more In Character for Sissi; at which point Ulrich's singing improves drastically to prove her wrong.

And I already suggested earlier in the thread that Odd's parent's couldn't come (though admittedly I couldn't think of a good excuse why; mostly they're just busy...)
