Someone on the set must really like Miyazaki. I saw Spirited Away once...when I was a lot younger...I lasted about ten minutes in, then the parents turning into pigs REALLY creeped me out and I had to turn it off for the sake of my own sanity.

But his movies have some pretty cool animation. Up until the pig part, I really liked the movie.

As an obsessive Miyazaki fan, I feel rather silly for not having noticed the look-alike earlier, but I am inclined to agree; they do look a bit the same. I did catch Totoro being in Yumi's room though. ^_^

Strange resemblance. I do remember my first time seeing Spirited Away...

all i could say was "wow"... It just tells you the difference in filming styles that different directors have.

yes, i think that CL borrowed alot. Maybe even Miyazaki could have been affiliated with antefilms minimally.

I see some deeper resemblances between the film and the show. I wouldn't be surprised if his name showed up in the credit roll one day.

About Totoro, I thought I saw it in Yumi's room in season two, but people are saying it was only in season one. I think it was in the episode where Yumi gets stuck on Lyoko on picture day(don't know episode title), and Ulrich had to go get a dress for Sissi to wear. I could've sworn he was hiding behind Totoro, or am I getting confused?
