lol yah i mean because i havent seen a new episode in awhile, unless i keep missing them =0. nd yah. how does it feel to be Ulrich's voice? like is it amazing to watch the episodes and watch Ulrich and be like "Hey that's me behind that cartoon!" and do you think that Ulrich will ever take Williams advice to truly tell Yumi how he feels? I mean i know he did in Cold War by saying "I need you." but I don't think she heard it and I think he thinks the same... unless I'm wrong about that...[/quote]

well it's something you get used to, seeing and getting to know the character... but now and then I take a good look at my job and realise how incredibly lucky I am. i do think that Ulrich will eventually take william's advice ( tho he'd NEVER admit that that is what he's doing, he'd rather make it look like it was all his idea in the first place) and tell Yumi, or maybe show her, how he feels. It may take awhile tho because the two of them are so proud, and Ulrich hates to look like a fool. He'd rather not have to fight for Yumi, and that's where he'd make the mistake of letting william call the shots since william has no scruples about telling Yumi he likes her. I don't know if this is a good subject for a creative paper tho', it seems more like a soap opera. A better subject might be about the virtual world... if there was a real Lyoko for us here on earth, what do you suppose it would be like?

LOL! This makes me laugh because in a recent university paper, I recieved extra marks for a few throwaway lines I added about how plot, marketing, characters etc. in an anime franchise (Gundam) mirrored some of the themes we'd been asked to write about in an essay revolving around economics and business practices!

At a pinch you could write a paper on Yumi and Ulrich's stormy relationships. There's definately plenty of material to work with. I wouldn't personally recommend trying it though unless you are willing to risk everything.

That said, Barbara's idea is far better, because it touches on elements of physcology, philosophy, technology and theology. For example, Lyokofreak is a 'real-world' Lyoko for me, an artifical construct that one can enter and exit freely, inhabited by a cast of colourful characters, and where one can exist independantly of 'reality.'

In this sense everyone has their own 'virtual worlds,' be they in the form of imagination, religion, our 'vain philosophies' etc. A rich subject for debate and discussion, so WOW! to Barbara for an excellent idea.

Oh, and a warm thankyou to her for the hilarious Christmas message from all of her characters. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas Barbara. :)

Cheers!

i'm trying to prove to people that code lyoko isn't some stupid anime show that has like no plot line and I'm trying to go more in depth with the characters then the usual u know the name the face and the general story behind the character. It's actually a research paper that can be done on anything we want and I want to mix it up a little. Most people are doing it on their fave sports team or band and giving bland facts like how the members of the band met and stuff.

That could be interesting. I'd be inclined to have someone *else* be in charge of it, though...

That just shows you how good she is at her job. Hello Ms. Weber-Scaff, it's a pleasure to somewhat meet you. I guess my first question would be, and I hope it hasn't already been ask. How did you first get interested in voice acting and where was your first voice acting job?

I'm sorry, but I cannot think of a question. But I offer humor, and mabey a question after all.

My mother insists on watching the show with me, and the other day, A bad turn was on. My mother was reading and kistening, and she heard someone call out "Hiroki!" My mother looked up, and said "Did she just call him a Pirougi?" Sorry, it was something about italian food. So now every time I hear that name, I think of a pastry of some kind.

And I also received the first and second CL dvds. But when I noticed the charachter bios, I noticed the one for Kiwi. But at the top, it said Kiwee! Is that how it's really spelled, because you think about it when they call the dog, they say the last vowel(s) longer.
I know this because my name has that same sound. But that's what you get for being named Jackie.

I also would like to know about the proper name spellings... How is it spelled in your scripts?

I only have the second, and it only has Jim, Sissi, and Herve's profiles on them, not Ulrich's and the others. But the Karaoke is amazing! I wish we all could have a CL karaoke party.

Ulrich's got the coolest Lyoko outfit and powers. Yumi has the prettiest powers and outfit, and weapons too. ;)

Ulrich's voice, huh?

Awesome!

I must say, Ulrich's voice is the one that fits his profile. With what he's wearing and how young he is, the voice fits him. He has a normal teenager's voice and it's deep. I have to say that you do a good job with Ulrich. :)

I got interested in voice acting when I was a kid, imitating woody woodpecker and speed y gonzalez! I got my first job by doing an audition and doing a very tiny role in a dubbed movie... the smallest role in the film. but I kept showing up for those tiny roles til I got cast in bigger and bigger ones. Not just cartoons. Also films. It took about ten years to start really making a living at it.
