what make and model of scanner? both scanners ive got here (epson perfection, usb, and a primax colorado, LPT port) I have never had any problems with. the only problems Ive ever had with them havent been installation problems but rather somewhat insignificant problems in the scans themselves. on the epson scanner, i have it using an offbrand power adapter which gives it a little less voltage than its rated for and the scans are producing alternating colored bands. and the primax scanner works fine, but it tends to require a little more warmup time than the little wait timer it gives. if I scan before it warms up enough, it produces rather large bands of colors in the images (somewhere along the lines of a 2 inch red band, then green, etc.. but once it warms up it works great.)

only thing ive noticed though is that epson brand equipment often requires you to install the drivers and software BEFORE you plug it in. make sure you catch that part of the instructions (if this is, in your case, the situation)

Truthfully you didn't do much better. You need to capitalize "God" because it is first of all the beginning of a sentence and second of all it is a proper noun. The comma should have been replaced with a period, the 'D' needs to be capitalized, and "do you not go/never gone" is grammatically wrong. Then the following 's' should have been capitalized, the comma between "cringe" and " its" should have been a period, and you should have used "it's" instead of "its". You also forgot to place a ending punctuation mark after "guess."

*Cough, cough* I hate it when people mix Japanese phrases and words with English.
