Because of his constant gluttony and overeating, Odd retains large quantities of life force in his body. XANA could use this energy to give him more strength to take over the world. But the Scyphozoa will be shielded by some kind of invisible force field, preventing the others from saving their warrior friend. When he is drained for the first time, Yolande and Jim immediately figure it out. He feels very weak, like his energy was sucked right out of him.
Odd is in the infirmary for days, slowly regaining his energy through sleep. Sissi starts feeling bad for Odd. And she comforts him while he sleeps. His parents also come to visit their sleeping son. In his dreams, he has flashbacks of his childhood. He had a very happy childhood. His mother taught him how to express how he feels through drawing and painting. His father taught him the martial arts. ^^
His teachers, especially Mrs. Hertz and Mrs. Meyer, are also worried about Odd.
Jeremie soon theorizes that Odd's energy has been sent to Sector 5. But shortly after, a boy of around Jeremie's age mysteriously appears.

but, it feels like theres something missing... if you don't mind me saying so.
If XANA does come to earth... what kind of shape would he take? the normal gas cloud form, or would the leeched energy taken from odd give him a more solid form?
It would be kinda cute to see Odd as a little boy.
Is that related to your idea? or a completely unrelated idea?
Cause it could be that XANA upon taking his energy takes some of his essence and takes the form of a young Odd, and as he draws more and more energy he grows and then when he (she? it?) has enough energy he transforms into a monster that sorta resembles Odd... just a thought...
As soon as Odd sheds a tear in his sleep and sobs, the screen flashes white. When it clears, we see the outside of the hospital seen in eps such as "Killer Music" and "Contact". Cut to inside. Slow pan left to view a blonde-haired woman in a wheelchair. A small bundle is handed to her; a baby's crying is heard. We see the child wrapped in the blankets - baby Odd! He stops crying and opens his eyes to look at his mother. He coos. Odd's father sighs in contentment.
Mrs. Della Robbia: What should we name him, honey?
Mr. Della Robbia: How about "Odd"?
Mrs. Della Robbia: That means "point of a sword", right?
Mr. Della Robbia: Right.
Mrs. Della Robbia: Odd Della Robbia... that's a very good name. I like it.
She then holds her son in a cradling position and gently rocks him back and forth, humming Brahms' Lullaby to baby Odd. We then flash back to the present, and Odd is still asleep in the infirmary bed.
One prob here (besides the fact we should probably be having this discuussion in the sticky thread): Why would XANA stick to just Odd? He's the biggest meal, maybe, but not the only potential target.
Odd could just be the start of things, XANA could start with him because he has the most energy, and would be able to gain more strength for a stronger body from the start.
Hmm...I've read this through and I like the idea of Odd having flashbacks - perhaps this is also an oppurtunity to homage Garage Kids - I reckon that at the end as Odd's on the verge of death we should have a sudden montage of memories, all overlayng each other like the screens the camera passes throughto get to Carthage...
"How about Odd?"
"Painting isn't something that comes from the mind - it comes from the heart."
"Keep a firm grip as you aim and you won't go far wrong."
"I've been transferred again - this time to Canada."
"Kadic College - it's a boarding school."
"You're new around here?"
"Yeah, I just arrived. I'm Odd."
"Huh, another new Kid - well I'm sure you new friends Stern and Belpois can fill you in on the rules."
"I don't believe it - it's a supercomputer!"
"Hello, my name's Aelita."
"Lazer Arrow!"
"Break-break-break-dance!"
"I'm not scrawny, I'm svelte!"
"XANA's attacking!"
And then we get Odd's last memory before he passed out, and all the footage we see and hear plays back in reverse very quickly, the RTTP sound-effect plays and the screen collapses down into a white dot. Cue the sounds of a heart-monitor flat-lining.
BLIP-BLIP-BLIP-BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
And possibly end the episode there on a cliff-hanger. By stretching it out we could have another episode delving into some of the other character's pasts, and probably twist the outcome a bit. What do you think?
