Franz hopper mass murderur

Postby dr xana » Wed Jan 11, 2006 10:15 pm

No no Franz hopper dident go on a shooting rampage but i was thinking:

fact 1:return to the past does not bring back the dead

fact 2:millions die each day

fact3: Franz Hopper returned to the past for 7 years within one day

if you take the amout of people that die in 7 years worth of days and compress it to one day you have massive deaths!

So does the RTTP affect births? If not, then he makes up for the deaths with births.

According to our "Let's talk tech" thread, our current theory states that only those who directly interact with the XANA program during an attack are affected by the rule of not being brought back from death.

And even if thats the way it works, that doesn't make Hopper a murderer, by its definition. Murder requires two things, cause and motive. Hopper did neither. Hopper did not cause the deaths, only hid them from memory. Second, he had no malicious or malevolent intent against those who have died. Its the reason why a drunk driver who runs over someone is not charged with murder, but instead with manslaughter.

Again, we have reason to believe that its not the case that deaths non-related to XANA are applicable to the rule.

also about when hopper kept returning to the past how did he finish the scannars if he kept reseting everything each time he went back. The scannars are physical objects and should have been un built each time he tryed to make them

I have a few thoughts about that. In The Key, Hopper already had a functioning laboratory and supercomputer. Its possible that Hopper could of already had most of the hardware up and running before going on his 7 year time trip and only needed to work on the software components for the supercomputer, which we believe to be safe from the effects of returning to the past.

Another idea, if he ever built anything, he could have gone back an extra day, built it then implement it in the supercomputer and continue just living in June 16th. That way when he goes back in to the 16th, the hardware would have already been completed.

Last idea, if he understood materialization, he could of saved the blue prints into the supercomputer, then just materialize the hardware as necessary.
