Will the characters ever be drawn differently?

if there's going to be a 4th season (or so i have heard), you would think that they would have grown some or changed thier appearence a little. Not to mention, you can only have so many years before you graduate to another school? I'm not familiar with boarding schools though, so I'm not entirely certain about that however.

They're in a French boarding school. They could technically stay at Kadic until they were old enough to apply to a University. They don't really have to show them changing in anyway, particularly if seasons 3 and 4 are not set to far after season 2 chronologically. Honestly, I think they're fine the way they look right now. ^^

I think it would be cool if there outfits changed, a little. Like how Aelita's did. I do however, Love Ulrich's outfit.
Maybe Yumi's hair could grow longer, or something... Or Aelita's.

Yeah.. hmm, that's interesting. I was sure you would graduate like at high schools in America, but it IS a boarding school after all (and that also explains why Yumi's still with them.. it would really suck if she had to leave >.>)

I doubt they'll change anything. Although we have some key events like major exams and birthdays, there doesn't seem to be a structured passage of time they're following. Has two years actually passed, or is that just our assumption?

I have no idea. it's kindof confusing since they keep on going back in time.

We kinda guessed on the 2 years. In The Trap, the celebrated the one year anniversery of the meeting with Aelita. And since Jeremie was 12, that would mean they met Aelita when he was 11. He turned 13 in Franz Hopper and we know atleast a few weeks to a few months has passed between False Start and Franz Hopper. There were also an science finals in Final Mix and an end of the year dance in The Key which is 19 episodes apart. Could either mean semester finals in which case they had a half a year pass, or they had 19+ days of extra class after finals which seems a bit odd, since I never known a school to have finals 1 month earlier than the grade transfer.

Like I said, they have certain events that mark time, but overall don't seem to have a structured passage of time. It's like the Simpsons, and how they're still the same age despite so many birthdays, Christmas, etc.

I guess it's decided that they need to update the profiles by adding stuff like that they're not 12 anymore :p and they should change clothes at least for a few episodes. Though... like Yumi, I wear the same thing everyday, black shirt and black pants. just it has a different design on them ^_~

Like I said, yumi can just about wear the same thing, but maybe jeremie can after 5 episodes, where a red shirt? Nothing drastic has to be done, just change it up a little.

They are drawn all the same for visual consistency. If the outfits changed even remotely everyday, it would throw many people off. And plus, it is common for people to want to wear the same thing/type of thing everyday and in similar colors. I seriously doubt that Jeremie is wearing the same Turtleneck everyday, he has them in varying shades of that blue he loves. Should they change that much? well, that will depend on how much time will change between season two and season four. And while it is accepted that two years have passed, the time flow isn't exactly fluid or heavily expressed. Granted they are in the biggest transition time in thier lives, but I think they are each on a level where they will maintain the same tastes.

If you are refering to Mr.Puck (coudln't get the diareses, and I don't feel like getting my german keyboard out or typing the code for it) Then in that episode he wore a grey sweatsuit

Not to mention the very first episode at the prom, everyone was wearing something different (except Ulrich). So, I think they are doing a very good just. Just... a little more is what's needed.
