I haven't been fairly kissed yet. But people tell me all of the time (I can never tell if they're serious or joking) that the only reason I don't have a girlfriend and/or been kissed is because I'm not ready for one. I'm not sure, and I can usually tell so its weird. What do you think?

Here's what's strange - I've engaged in ear nibbling, but no proper kissing yet. The only "girlfriend" I had prefered that. Feel free to mock me now, though apparently I have more company than I thought here.

A lot of people think they're the only one when they don't have an opposite-sex companion in their life. Its a sad thing to watch. Something I like to say because I've noticed it cheers people up; Is that deep down, you don't have a companion because subconsiously, you're not ready for one yet.

More or less. I see no need for a significant other until i have my life sorted out (i.e., get out of college, find a place to live and a steady job, THEN I'lkl think about love). I may not be ready, but deep down I really do want a relationship. All my friends are getting amrried, and I'm not, so I feel left out slightly.

I suppose. Or it could be that even if you're ready for one, you blatantly just don't want one or have given up love as hopeless and/or a waste of time.

And I've never been kissed either, despite numerous boyfriends.

Um.. not really. Define what you mean by "companion." Because like I've said before, a lot of my RL friends are girls. And if you mean like, bf/gf, that's not really true either. Maybe you just haven't found the right one yet. (Haha look who's talking.. like i have any experience.)

...How would that cheer people up? It seems depressing to me. Like oh, you're not good enough. THAT'S why nobody wants to go out with you.

My definition of a companion is a member of the opposite gender that you have intamite relations with. Just for the record, I don't count online relationships or homosexual relationships and highly dissagree with the very concept of them. So, a basic girlfriend or boyfriend. Or husband and wife relationship.
My logic behind that, that I didn't state earlier, is that the subconsious thoughts do effect things we do. So, I think, subconsiously, you think you can't have a companion or overall just don't want one. That can effect your social skills and your mental state around the opposite gender. That's just what I think.

I just turned 15 last week and had my first kiss / makeout session about a month ago and I must say it was quite kewl given the circumstances. But its no big if havent yet, just be patient it'll happen. LOL

Well... *blushes* I've only actaully been hugged by someone not related to me since the 8th grade, which was... last year... *superblushes.. jeez that's embarrassing*

Well, never mind. That's not true. I've been hugged before that. But it's the only relatively "intimate" thing that's happened to me, and it was only a friend who did it because I got her some money for her birthday.. ^^;

The age of the rapist doesn't matter. Even if he was the same age it would still be rape.
*does a double take* Considering sex at any age under 16-18 depending on the state, is considered rape which leaves the possibility of it being consentual.

So from a technical standpoint your statement actually says that she lost her virginity at 9 not depending on if it was consentual or not.

In the mean time, though, don't try to rush into it. A lot of people go to parties and play truth-or-dare just to get their first kiss, but personally I think that's sort of depriving yourself of the joy that comes from sharing your first kiss with someone you really care about.
