Wow, I'm gonna have to do a lot of tweaking on the dates xD; But no bother. Unfortunately, they won't be up <i>too</i> soon; I'm going to be busy all weekend and at the earliest they'll be here Monday night... So... patience, patience! xD;

But I am guessing all the episodes in season 1 before Amnesia can be in whatever order, only be before Amnesia, right? Because in that episode they show flashbacks, and it'd be kind of strange to see a flashback of Claustrophobia when it hasn't even happened yet.. >>; ? I think we can mess up season 1 around a little... right?

I'm saying that season one had no real chronological order, except definitely the last two episodes and maybe some special cases. Like in Amnesia, when Ulrich is having his crazy flashbacks. So what I'm saying is that if we tweaked the episode order or something so it'll fit the dates, it'd be kinda weird to have Amnesia come before Claustrophobia, because then Ulrich would be having flashbacks of something that didn't happen yet...

Did that make a little more sense? >_o

Isn't there evidence though of certain episodes coming after others (i.e. in LTT we noticed a linear progression in some of XANA's abilities which eventually ended with the polymorphic clones) etc. Aside from that one goof in Amnesia shouldn't we treat S1 as a chronological order?

Speaking of goofs, did anyone else notice that in "Just in Time", when Jeremie says he is going to the factory (they are outside), and then walks away, that you see Yumi say: "I hope Jeremie finds the solution before XANA attacks again.", but you hear Ulrich's voice? Or is this just my rip of the ep.?

The dates were taken straight from the French Minsitry of Education's website - in terms of Kadic's termtimes this is as accurate as you're gonna get and I think the same can be said of Lani's amazing timeline!

As for the goof - yeah, that's a classic. The VAs actually explained how it happened - something about how the french subtitles obscured the character's mouth so the translator mistook who was actually speaking - I can't remember the details 100% myself (and what I just said could be very wrong), but the story's there in the VA board somewhere.

How do you intend to swing that? We only have 1974 as a year when he was with Project Carthage, and 1994 as the year in which he turned one day into seven years! Not that I'm opposed to the idea!

Do something like, okay, I think he was 50-somethin' when he went to Lyoko with Aelita, so take off 50~59 years from 1994, which brings us in the 1944~1935, and that also makes him somewhat of an old man.

Of course, he doesn't have a definite age, but I like guessing

Franz looked around 30-35 in the 1974 picture - I vote for him being 54/55 in 1974.

This would put his DOB round about 1939 - if we want a symbolic date for his birth why not September 1st - thus Franz, a man of world-changing potential, enters life as the same day as the defining event of our century rolls forth - WW2.

Also since Franz could be said to have 'died' on D-Day 1994 it adds further imagery to his date of birth being on that of an invasion.

Lycee Lakanal opened it's doors in 1885. It is named for Joeseph Lakanal (1762-1845), a noted French educator and founder of many schools.

FICTION

Lycee Kadic was in early stages of construction in 1905 (foundation excavation and pouring, based on the legend of Leon Corbe), suggesting it opened in 1906 - making this year the 100th anniversary!

The buildings probably shared the same architect - Anatole de Baudot (1834-1915).
