You're probably better off renting the original with David Niven, Peter Sellers and Robert Wagner.

Yes, yet another unnecessary Hollywood remake. Steve Martin is ruining whatever career he had left.

It's all very scientifical. |D

I'm... just short of appalled at the fact that they've done this.

Honestly. The originals were so good... Why did they have to go and ruin it by making a new movie? Ugh. It makes me sick.

And, ugh, Steve Martin? Are they serious?

In all fairness some remakes are good - Ocean's Eleven , The Italian Job etc. Not as good as the originals but they still work well.

I'm curious about the Pink Panther movie, simply because I never saw the originals so I'd be going in without bias (though everyone knows of Peter Sellers).

Oh a similar note, I can't wait for Wolfgang Petersen's forthcoming remake of 'The Poseidon Adventure'.

Ugh! I know, right? He was like... One of the best actor's ever!

Though... I dunno, I thought it looked kind of funny. I've never seen the original, but my brother keeps telling me it's one of the best movies ever.

Haha, it looks amusing. Dunno if I'll ever see it though, I'm not a big movie person >>;;

I think America is SERIOUSLY running out of movie ideas. It's always remake of this, remake of that, typical romance movie that tries too hard to be original, sequel to this, sequel to that...

Someone needs to give these guys some imagination. xD;

The greatest proof that they have no idea what they're doing is that they have Kevin Kline in the movie and he's *NOT* playing Cleauseau! O_o

Just with having Beyonce Knowles at the soundtrack made me vomit. The original version is much better.

Gone In 60 Seconds was one of the few movies where the remake was as good as than the original.

Shaft was a remake and a sequel all in one! It starred Samuel L. Jackson as John Shaft and Richard Roundtree as his uncle... the original John Shaft! Two Shafts for the price of one! :D

The absolute best remake ever remade was the '50s movie The Man Who Knew Too Much, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It was a remake of a relatively obscure 1936 English movie, which was directed by... Alfred Hitchcock. The '50s movie had more plot and more plot twists, and was also made perfect by the addition of Doris Day, singing and all! Some may have been skeptical of the queen of musical comedy being in a Hitchcock movie, but that just made the whole thing a masterpiece! It's a family musical comedy gone horribly, horribly wrong as only Hitchcock could set it up...

"A man... a statesman... is to be killed... assasinated... tell them... in London... tell them to... try... Ambrose... Chapel...." *dies*
