A connection between Lyoko and Christianity

Postby Chosen_one » Fri Mar 03, 2006 7:02 pm

I've just noticed something. You know how in Christianity God is in three forms: the father, the son, and the holy spirit? Well in Lyoko, Franz Hopper is the father, Aelita is the son (or daughter), and XANA is the holy spirit.

Or in this case, the unholy spirit, as XANA is pure evil. You do have a point there.

And Aelita keeps coming back to life... She's like a whack-a-mole!

Seems plausible to me that the writer(s) may have had certain biblical elements in mind when they came up with the concept of the show. Then again, it could just be a coincidence.

Don't bother sending me messages or anything, I'm not in charge of the site anymore.

But I do love dancing.

Maybe... if we take out France's atheists and count the ones who have a religion to believe in, the catholics predomminate in France. Unless I'm mistaken...

Oh yeah... Aelita coming back to life with the help of Franz Hopper is like Jesus coming back to life with the help of God!

Well, I just found this out a little bit ago, while looking up Rammstein Lyrics. STERN means STAR....Ulrich Star? Stars, angels, heaven....maybe?

Ulrich means "prosperous and powerful." Hence his parents being snooty and Ulrich being a fighter in Lyoko.

I've never doubted the idea of Code: Lyoko having religious ties, in my mind Aelita is and always has been Lyoko's 'Messiah' - the child of it's creator.

That said I feel the show has ties with other religions, and also with Aethism - after all a lot of the tech seems to be based off materialist concepts of the body and self.

In the end, you can look at it any way you want.

Yes. And in my view and way of thinking, Lyoko reprsents Heaven, XANA as Satan, and Franz as God. Aelita is the child of God, in this case, that must be protected by her angels, who in this case are Ulrich, Yumi, Odd, and Jeremie (and soon, many others).

Optimus Prime has died and come back like 20 times.

Transformer is based off the Book of Christ?

The Undertaker has been killed off some many times and come back to life

WWE has strong christian bonds?

Ah, sorry mate. Not trying to kill your buzz but I need more than that to draw any connection. Then again I ain't the religous type either (Thank you Rachel's Tears)

Umm...wasn't one of the tenets of Christianity that Christ was on his own - if he had bodyguards he wouldn't have been crucified.

The most you could compare the rest of the gang to is the Disciples, though that is very condescending to them - the only real Disciple as such is Jeremie as a student of Franz and his works.

I think Lyoko and all its humanly humans have a lot to do with ERYNNISM :O I mean, it's like WOAH once you think about it...

xD;;; Just kidding.

And I know the writers have NEVER heard of um... the game... but I think too much and I sort of see parallels between Tales of Symphonia (if you've EVER played the game...) and CL. And ToS is game whose main aspect is religion and myth, but their own religion, which I have happily dubbed Martelism! I could probably go on and on about Martelism and CL but I'll probably get nowhere 'cause I'll bet no one has played the game like five times through like me... xDD;l
