Music Download And Other Stuff That I Need Help

What's the best program for downloading mp3 files, videos and other stuff? I need help on this. I need something that goes as fast as Limewire and with less virus programs as possible.

And what programs should I use to protect my pc besides Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search & Destroy?

I am a big torrent finatic myself. but for those rare finds I usually use limewire and I have never really had a problem with it although its primary use for me is music/audio.

As for protection, just make sure youve got the big 3 running: antivirus/firewall/anti-spyware and you should be good. personally I use AVG free, Kerio Personal Firewall, and a combination of Spybot and MS A-S on my laptop and it stays clean as a whistle.

Limewire is the current best...If you can figure out torrents, I'd suggest them. (Though I've never used them; I couldn't figure it out. )

I use Microsoft's Anti-Virus, which was mentioned on another thread here..It's pretty good at doing all that stuff...

For free full albums, I suggest downloading from http://www.1albums.com. (Plus they have a .rar cracker, too..so yeah.)

Yeah, exactly... I use Norton cuz I'm a loser. ^^;

But yeah, I do actually have an account on iTunes (mostly iTunes France because it's cool like that and LyokoCode's FutuRadio's like really screwed up these days) but I only use it if I have money from those gift card things, so usually I'll just browse for stuff and if I see something I like I'll just get it off of Limewire. (It's like really popular! Because I swear even my TEACHERS use it. I am not kidding. xD)

It's only slow because its based off of java which is slow itself. Thats why I stopped using Azureus a while ago in favor of microtorrent/utorrent.

AVG is a really good program. Zone Alarm is also good against spy-ware and the like. ^_^

I use Windows Media Player to download my mp3s, since it's wav and mp3 and those are the two I can download. A good site is www.hitmp3.com...I think that's it.

I don't know about the protecting PC thing...

The thread sorta died, so I'm sorta reviving it.

Although I highly don't recommend it, BitComet is the best torrent downloader, and (as far as I can tell) is virus free.

It's also how I got all of my Code Lyoko Episodes.
