I know we all have diffrent likes besides Code: Lyoko. There's FullMetal Alchemist, The West Wing, Angel, The X-Files, etc.

But I wonder what would do you if Code: Lyoko and something you love a lot show at the same time.

So, name me the series that you would watch instead of Code Lyoko.

Well...for me it would depend on the situation.

If it were an old episode of Code Lyoko (one that I'd already seen and had recorded) and a new episode of one of my other favorite shows: Avatar, Inu-Yasha, etc; I would likely watch the new episode...just since I'd already seen the CL one...and could watch it later on tape if I really wanted to.

Now if it were a new episode of Code Lyoko vs. a new episode of Avatar or something...um...honestly, I think I'd watch CL still. Nick usually reruns its new episodes the following weekend, so I'd be able to catch Avatar then. CN takes forever to do reruns sometimes, so I'd more than likely watch CL instead. I love it too much...plus, seeing all of you talk about it here with me realizing I missed a way cool episode would be torture of the worst kind. ^^; With my luck, it'd be an episode with confessions in it too.

The choice would be more or less the same with two old episode of CL and Avatar playing at the same time. Unless it was one of my absolute favorite ATLA episodes, or one of the CL episodes that I'm not as fond of ("The Trap, "GOTD", etc), I'd still watch CL. It's my most favorite show that's still running. ^_^

O.K.

I don't watch Season 2 episodes any more.

It would have to be extraordinary TV to take me away from a Season 1 episode, or maybe an episode of Connections or The Day The Universe Changed (both are James Burke documentaries). Or maybe a show about cars, motorcycles, aircraft or music.

How come - I remember you seemed a bit disapointed with S2 at the time...

As for me and the question - it's non-applicable - I don't get TV up here! :D

What, you don't have a TV in the common room? Or does your hall of residence have a common room?

Umm...

Well, it depends, kinda like Mew said. If it was new I'd most likely watch CL, but if it was old (I barely ever watch the reruns nowadays) I'd probably watch something else, like.. uh...

Just naming some stuff, but.. Teen Titans (depends on how old the ep is, or if I've seen it), Avatar: The Last Airbender, Degrassi, umm.. usually I watch music video/countdown shows on MTV, Fuse, etc, ...Instant Star... Phil of the Future (RICKY ULLMAN!! I mean, um... Hey look! A monkey!), The Andy Milonakis Show...

Yeah, some of those aren't my favorites (In fact none of them I like more than CL, but TT is dead second, followed by the rest, specifically in that order)

Ehh, I like drama, a lot. Like if there was a choice between CL reruns or the Clloser, CLOSER HANDS DOWN!

Anyone watch that? Brenda's awesome. Especially the one last tuesday where the butler died and the suspects were a rich boy, a druggie sister, and a gay brother, and they arrested the lawyer. AWESOME!

And I'll watch nearly anything on the science channel (Especially astronomy night) Sometimes TBS, and TNT, but if it's on nickelodeon, I'll watch the other first and catch the nick one three hours later because we have NICK west. And nicktoons.
I can't wait for skyland to come out!

And I like things like Digimon, WITCH (And I admit) Winx Club, YuGiOh GX (Jaden makes me drool... And my friend tara likes that pharoah switchy guy from the first one. She can have him, I want Jaden!)

And sometimes I'll watch Zixx, And if I'm with my baby cousins power rangers because he's obsessed with them!)

I haven't been watching the re-runs either. I usually watch something that was recorded on Tivo, something else, or homework if i can't think of anything else.
I dunno what i'd do. Probably watch CL, unless i get into some new show. which is unlikey, cause i mainly watch cartoon network.

...I do my homework in front of the TV while the reruns are on xD; Because I've already seen it, I'm actually less likely to become distracted And my mom is starting to like CL too o_o I have to be there to explain things to her.

But... if CL never existed, then watching TV is a rare occurrence. But I watch the Naruto dub because it's highly amusing sometimes >>; And I'll watch G4, and DEFINITELY Food Network... Mmm...

For Teen Titans and Avatar: The Last Airbender, I would watch new episodes over Code Lyoko. If they were both new, I'd record one of them and watch the other. The other shows I like a lot are Family Guy, American Dad, House MD, and..60 Minutes (they honestly do have interesting stories sometimes) but none of them as much as CL.

I have very limited time to use the TV since we only have one. Since Code: Lyoko is an afternoon show (I watch it only an hour after I get home from school), there's very little chance of anything else I like overlapping the time scheduals, considering that Avatar and CL are the only shows I watch and Avatar comes on at night.
Bang, baby.

Well, let's see. Hmm...Sonic and CL...like Mewberries, if they were both new episodes, I'd watch CL since I've got almost every episode of Sonic on tape anyway, and they tell you about what happened last during Sonic, but not with CL. If it was episode 77 where they have to kill Cosmo I'd have a hard time. Maybe...CL because I could find Sonic...somehow...*twitches*

Wow, I don't know if I could pick. Most likely I would cheat and watch one show in my parent's bedroom and tape the other to watch later...

But if I had to pick, probaby new Code Lyoko. If it wasn't new though I probably wouldn't (and actually I don't, I haven't watched CL in months..)

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy S2 (could you specify why out of curiosity?) - as for the TV, it's kinda difficult to explain;

Lancaster Uni is split into various colleges and each have a TV room - but in Furness (my college) the set only picks up the five 'terrestrial' channels (TV-Waves) - no satelite channels, no cable and so you're never that motivated to walk down to the college to flip the TV on, not when there's a bar and common room (pool tables, video games, loadsa fun!) - and of course LF and all my downloaded episodes and DVDs!

Also not many people bring their own TVs as the licensing fees you must pay to operate one in this country are astronomical - I WAS gonna bring my TV/DVD combo set to watch my DVDs on, but when we found a triple-digit fee was needed just to legally use it, we decided it was cheaper to refit my computer to play DVDs.

So yeah, I don't get much TV here - at home I was also watching it less and less (so much crap on nowadays!), but I'd watch CL if it was an ep I'd never seen (yes there are still a few! Satelite for example, or The Trap) - but most of the time I'd watch movies, Discovery Channel or one of the other cartoons airing that I like - such as WITCH.

When I go home in a few weeks S2 will be airing so I might watch that just to see it in high-resolution.

I don't know. The show changed, and I lost interest.

"A Bad Turn", "Cold War", the very end of "XANA's Kiss", and Jeremy's rescue of Aelita in "Deja Vu" were good, but overall, the addition of the vehicles, and William, and the changes in Aelita and Jeremy; I don't know, they just lost me.

The last two episodes of Season 1 were the best episodes of Code Lyoko. The last two episodes of Season 2 were among the worst (along with "St. Valentine's Day").

I do not think I will videotape Season 3. I might not even watch it.

I can see where you're coming from with your critque of Season 2, it certainly felt different for me, but I think that was more due to changes in me rather than changes in the show. I had only discovered CL a few months before S2 started and underwent a mass submersion into the show, and familiarity brought with it a certain 'dulling' of the sense of the unknown when S2 came about.

I can also agree that the vehicals can be an annoyance and replace the RTTP as 'repetitive element of the day' though the Overboard is almost always a treat (A Bad Turn being an excellent example) - William I expected to be a classic Gary-Stu who would join the team within 10 episodes of his introduction - overall though I think he brought a new element to the show as well as playing up the already complex relationship triangle between Ulrich, Yumi and Sissi.

As for Aelita and Jeremie - their passion has dulled hasn't it - pity that, but I'm quite happy with Aelita's spunky new persona on Earth (and the constant reminders that YES, they are an item).

Overall though what I like most about S2 is the broadening of the show's world. The old episodic format did bore me to an extent - knowing that there would not be a continual plot between episodes. S2 however delighted me with the multiple story-arcs and the overall mystery of 'Franz Hopper' - the new format allowed new characters, more character development and developed the backstory to the origins of XANA, the hardware etc.

It might sound like I'm trying to start a fight here - I sincerly hope it doesn't though as I always feel you and I have had good relations on the site. What I say is just my personal reaction to the show, as is yours.

My best example would be your points on the season finales - 'Code: Earth/False Start' I liked because Aelita came to Earth, there were some sweet/cute moments and Jim got his moment in the sun.

Aside from that though I had no emotional reaction - aside from anger at the erasing of Jim's memory - I was also left feeling that the show had simply reset and that things were essentially as they were at the beginning of Teddygozilla - Aelita's in the computer, Jeremie's her fanboy, XANA's evil and Yumi and Ulrich still dance around their obvious feelings.

To me, S2 delivered the changes and evolution I wanted, and for the first time I was actively 'feeling' with the characters, best exemplified by the climax - from the final minutes of Revelation to the end of The Key, a gradual knot of dread built in my stomach - I was crying when Aelita 'died' and then felt my jaw hit the floor with the flashback sequence.

I also like S2 for leaving some of the plot elements unexplored or hanging, enticing me to watch S3 so see where it goes.

Well that's me - I hope I haven't offended you Samblob as I do respect your opinions - I hope S3 recaptures the spirit you feel the show lost (and which I sometimes get a fleeting feeling of) - I would hate for the fandom to loose you for any reason!
