well i myself am a A/J fan i do think they have a lot in common, they do fight a bit but to be honest thats is one of the features that bring people closer together. they do really care for eachother as show by there willingness to help eachother in time of need maybe at first they would be in for a little bit of a bumpy ride, but, i think that when XANA is gone he will spend a lot more time with her. i think that what he is doing now is all for there "a world without danger"

Another thought- Aelita has been slowly gaing more of a human personality since coming into the real world. Whos to say down the line when shes fully develope she won't leave? More so, now she has her old memories back so who knows how shell be now.

We don't, all we can do is conjecture about what we know and what we see on the show as it is currently. Only season three will clear all of this up.

I bet it will be weird for her no longer going to Lyoko. It was her home for about 12 years. She was hesitant when they first tried to shut down xana. It was the epiosode right after code:earth.

Does that sound anything like something Aelita would do though? Just because she's gaining a sense of independence and is out-going doesn't mean she'd just dump her friends like that. Especially after everything they've done for her sake, I doubt Aelita would be so callous as to do something like that.

Humans change as they grow, but I can't see Aelita changing for the worse like that.

I must agree that you are very good at explaining mewberries. the lyokologists I also admire for the amount of work that they have put forward for this interest. I really like CL more because of those reasons.

And I agree pepsipiper, I really don't want seasons 3 and 4 to be a let down because there are so many cool things that they can pursue. As for Jeremie, it is a natural thing for him to be attached to his computer. I would honestly like to see even more devlopment in him, because there is so much more there.

Jeremie and Aelita have something special that doesn't happen every day. Like in Romeo and Juliet (although lets hope the endding's not the same). The best way to describe there relationship is to really listen to the song 'Beat of my Heart' by Hilary Duff. It says about it perfectly.

I believe Jeremie and Aelita are perfect for each other. Will their relationships face some troubles? Of course.

I actually do not see them as being all that different from each other. Yes, they do have their differences, but no two people are alike. Jeremie doesn't normally talk to anyone other than his friends. Aelita doesn't either (now I'm not saying that they don't talk to anyone else ever, I'm saying that they don't usually make casual conversation with any one else). They both have that "innocent" aura about them. And, of course, they are of course whiz kids.

To sum it up, it's like my Government teacher likes to say:

Another thought... what about the age difference? I mean mentally... Aelita was around Jer's age when she was locked away in lyoko. So really her actual age is like 11 years on top of whatever she was then O.o

Really not that far out there, when she was first materialized from Lyoko I initially got the impression of her seeming much older.

This goes into the debate Sissi and William have in "Marabounta". Whether or not, one believes in true love or "love at first site" cannot really contend if the two who are said to be "in love" do. I have no idea, what Jeremie and Aelita believe about those kinds of things...although I would wager that Aelita has a bit of hopeless romantic in her. ^^

In any case, true love can't even be defined with a time period. Yes, they knew each other for all of 3 days, but they'd have known each other for much longer had they both lived. The point is, Romeo and Juliet was about love being torn apart by a selfish and silly blood feud..."true love" was not the point Shakespeare was really trying to make because there was definitely no "love conquers all" in that play, in the general sense. So, to make the connection...Romeo and Juliet is a bad parallel for J/A (or any of the couples for that matter ^^ ), but my main disagreement is that I don't think one can put a time requirement on something like "true love".

Moving on to another debate, age difference seems kind of moot in a relationship to me, particularly in this one, since Aelita and Jeremie are more or less the same age. Life experiences have to do more with maturity, I think, not actual age (which only ever has to do with cell regeneration, in my opinion). In season 1, Aelita is more like a mature child than an adult. She knows alot about how things work (particularly within her own world), but her life experiences (having forgotten all of them) would bring her true maturity in season 1 and up until the near end of season 2 either equal, or possibly less than Jeremie's (at the very beginning).

Now that she's got all of her memories back along with her experiences in Lyoko and her new memories of Earth with Jeremie, her life experiences are still about equal to Jeremie's since he's been there with her through most of the fight, I'm assuming. I believe at best, she's as more mature than Jeremie, as Yumi is to Ulrich, in which case.

But before I really start to babble...I don't see alot of issue with a person being older than the one they love...so long as the love is absolutely mutual (and not illegal in any sort of way). Age is just a number that humans have taken to using to keep track of the passing of time. No other species really acknowledges it. If the love is there, and the ability to give and take, and care, why should age matter all that much?
