Hello Everyone

Hey, my name's Alec, i'm 17 years old and live in Kansas (its not as boring as some people seem to think). I've been a fan of Code Lyoko since they started showing it on Cartoon Network. I'm a huge anime and manga fan if you couldn't tell from my user name an sig. I also have a great love for fantasy books and video games. I found this site via wikipida while I was searching for the Code Lyoko theme song. It's a pleasure to be here and I hope we can all get along.

Some of my favorite fantasy novels that I've read are the Discworld Series (the first few need to read more), The Sword of Shannara, Another Fine Myth and Myth Conceptions, American Gods, Neverwhere, Good Omens, and The Eye of the World. I love the books I just never seem to have to go out and get more to read.

I haven't had time to read Discworld yet, but I have the first book...
Shannara is really good. It's one of my more favourite series.
The Eye of the World is another on my list to read... (I have far too many un-read books, and am constantly adding on to the list...)
I'll have to check out the others you listed... (man, even more books...)
One of my favourite series (aside from Harry Potter) is Sara Douglass' Axis trilogy. Most of the time I read over 200 pages a day. Really good read.

I'll have to look into the Axis trillogy, I havn't had much time to read recently (lots of homework in school) but hopefully it will let up soon and I'll be able to read more. Harry Potter thats another one I forgot to list, I can't beleve I forgot to include it in my list.

Oh yeah, homework can make it hard to read (although I read Shannara in school, whenever I had free time...)
I have to ask, have you read Lord of the Rings? I read it when I was about...let's see... I read it just before the movie came out... December 2001... so I was 16.
The Axis trilogy is really good. If you decide to go looking for it, online it says the first book is "BattleAxe", but in America it is "Wayfarer Redemption". They did it a little weird... kinda like they did with the first Harry Potter book, renaming it "Sorcerer's Stone"... wonder why they always change it here?

Don't really know about the title changes, Americans just like to be different I guess. As for the Lord of the Rings books I've ment to read them for the longest time but everytime I start something seems to come up and I end up putting it on hold. Now that I think about it it really shouldn't be that hard to pick up where I left off last time (middle of The Two Towers). Although I have seen all the movies so I do have some idea of whats coming up next. A quick question for you on the Harry Potter Series, do you prefer the movies or the books? I myself prefer the books because they have to leave so much out of the movies so they can get it to be short enough.

I almost always prefer the books to the movies. The only exception is the Lord of the Rings. The book moves too slowly in my opinion...
The Harry Potter movies do leave a lot out... The look of the third one was awesome, but all the stuff they left out made me disappointed... I like the movies, but the books are definitely better.

I've read too many mangas to list here but some of my favorites are Bleach, Naruto, Shaman King, Ranma 1/2, Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist (so much better than the show), Beet the Vandel Buster, and Fullmetal Alchemist. What are some of your favorites?

Thanks for the answer Odd, I was thinking that you were refering to his personality. But looking back its probably a good thing that you don't have is personality. Also I agree, P-chan isn't exactly a good nickname, I mean "pig cute" isn't exaclty flattering.
