I don't like Yumi, she's way too much of a showoff. And she's a jerk when she takes William... so I started supporting YxW and UxS because we all know YxU will never happen at this rate. The closest was 'Routine', and that was in the first season.

Saison Un wasn't all that far off, y'know...

And don't you remember Cold War? That episode practically SCREAMED UxY!

And quite honestly, I think Yumi being a "showoff" was the result of the animators playing around with their new all-computer-generated opportunities. Because it kinda seemed like EVERYONE was being a showoff. (Even Aelita. Flipping in the tower rise?)

Aelita, I can't quite understand your dislike of Yumi. She's no more a show-off that Ulrich is, and certainly not as big a show-off as say Odd or Sissi. In fact...if anything, she's the second most reserved of the group. She only uses her skills when it's needed. Give me an example from an episode where she needlessly shows off and then I might be able to understand where you're coming from a little better, but I honestly can't think of one myself.

Also...Yumi is allowed to have a "guy friend". Jeremie and Odd are also "guy friends". They're good friends...who just happen to be guys. You can't hold that against a girl, particularly Yumi. She's tomboy-ish, and alot of the girls at Kadic do not appear to be into the kinds of things she's into. So she makes friends with guys. It happens in real life all the time, and it's perfectly acceptable.

William is another "guy friend", except Ulrich continues to have jealous tendencies over him and blow it out of proportion. The only time Yumi ever used William to make Ulrich jealous was in "St. Valentines Day" and she absolutely didn't do it ever again afterwards (likely because she realized what a silly mistake and mess it had been). Every time afterwards, Yumi has just treated William as a "just friend". "A Bad Turn"..."Marabounta"..."The Key"...she either was just hanging with him as a friend and Ulrich blew it out of proportion or she actually was trying to keep her and William as "just friends" and Ulrich didn't see the whole thing (or assumed wrong).

Yumi has never, with the exception of "SVD", played with Ulrich like everyone seems to make out that she does. She's far more mature than that, and she's certainly not that shallow or petty.

Actually Mewberries, that was Your Devirtualization, not Darkborn, but they do make a good point about Cold War. If there was one episode that pratically sealed the deal for Ulrich and Yumi, this would be it. And as far as for Yumi, I think she was trying to make William see that she liked Ulrich, but to me, it seems like he just doesnt want to accept that fact. But I could be misunderstanding the action between the characters.

For some reason (I'm not sure why), I dislike Theo. (can't remember the episode name, but he is the newer member on Sissi's soccer team before Odd and Ulrich take advantage of it on a "Return to the Past")

I know what you mean. He was strangely annoying... you can tell I don't like him. In one of my stories, he...*coughs and glares at Theo* treates Aelita very badly...but then Jeremie saves her in the end...*sighs* Plus Aelita gets to punch him in the face. I know thr reason they are not together has something to do with the plot but come on. Well it's just that she'll backflip over herself when she doesn't need to, and then when she does need to she'll just walk around >.< like in "Contact"...I think... when she backflipped countless times and then she just casually walked over to Aelita and got blasted -.-;;

I honestly think there relationship seems just fine. As a Y/U fan, I would love nothing more than to see them "kiss, hug, marry, etc."....but I don't believe in "rushing a relationship", especially when the couple in question are only 13 and 14. That usually ends in disaster and I think Yumi and Ulrich are actually rather intelligent to take things slow, especially since they do not have 24 hours a day to devote to each other and their relationship. XANA is still an ever present threat, let's not forget.

Plus...Ulrich has tried numerous times to tell her, but has either gotten interupted or distracted. And yes, while this may be for some extent of plot device, it's not his fault that Jeremie insists on calling him at a bad time or that William has the uncanny ability to walk in whenever Ulrich tries to tell Yumi his feelings.

Also...Ulrich's last brush with truly telling Yumi his feelings face to face, did not go so well. "Swarming Attack"...he honestly tried and he actually succeeded...unfortunately...Yumi hadn't written that letter. I can't quite blame him for being nervous about going through that again. Plus...I get the feeling that Ulrich doesn't want to rush Yumi (which William seems to have issues with in contrast). Like I said, rushing things in a relationship is not a very good thing to do sometimes. ^^;

Very well written mewberries....Im also a Y/U fan, he did succeed in Swarming Attack, but I think he actually stated his true feelings in Cold War. What Im wondering is if Yumi actually heard that. Rushing could be a very bad thing. I think Xana's attacks are actually helping them along though, as far as them fighting together. I notice in between battles on Lyoko, if and when things tend to get bad, they will say things to each other, and agree at the end. Thats just my observation though.

Well, I do have to say this, she may have heard it becaause when I had surgery on my right eye, I was out, but still heard the doctors voices and stuff. Even if she was out cold, her ears and brain were still working.

The weird thing is..Yumi may have heard it but may have thought she imagined it...after my surgery I thought the doctors talking was all in my head, but I repeated some of the things I thought I heard, and I was correct.

I get what you are saying but you have to admit when two people like each other like they do sooner or later they will get together but its been about a year and ahalf. I just want to see how them being together will change things and I think they are over do.
